I have returned from RTF19 and it was a blast. I met many friends from the past, as well as new ones I am hoping to see in the future.
It was also great getting to see Eniko again, she took charge of everything, as she usually does.
Will I do it again? Probably, if conditions are right.
It is difficult to know where a person will be two years in advance, but the chances are often pretty good not much will change.
The first thing I did when I got home was to dive back into the reality of my life. I had visitors and needed to go shopping for groceries so everyone could eat.
It worked out well in the end and my visitors left on Monday, it was all done very quickly as these things usually are.
I am expecting to see them longer in August.
I have slowly begun to slip back into writing mode, something I am beginning to think I should have never interrupted as things were going so well before. I undoubtedly needed to take a break though. I still plan to write 4 more books before the end of the year and they will be full size novels, not novellas. Well, one might be a novella, that is to be seen yet. In the meantime, the edits on ‘Final Contact’ have been done and it is in final stage proof read.
I suspect it won’t be long before we can say it is finished and has been passed on to be formatted.
The first thing I head when I walked into the house from RTF19 was the sound of Thena coming to meet me on the run. She literally catapulted herself into my arms. Then the brothers proceeded to tell me that neither her nor Tath would allow anyone to hold them during my absence.
I understand that there were times when even food was an option during the couple days of my option. They don’t look any worse for the wear, but I can’t sit anywhere without being attacked by a furball.
The purring in the house has also been epic and loud.
I should go away more often.
Well, it is time to head off. I have people awaiting my attention again.
It has been a very busy week, but no complaints. Next signing for me will be in fall at Kalicon. Until next weekend, take care…
