It is reading time, finally... well, for a few days anyway... Tath and Thena are so excited they are running the length of the house back and forth at full tilt. We got them ready for their vet visit coming up on Tuesday… Yes, the claws are clipped, Thena was still hissing 2 ways later... Tath finally got tired of it and smacked her. (Probably told her to take a breath mint while he was at it. Yes, they can be like that. They want out, badly, but it isn’t happening... not that they will go out anyway... let me rephrase that, Thena checks out the temperature, Tath sits on the chairs and watches her back away. He knows that if the ground is white, it is cold... they have a few more months to wait and then the challenge to see if they can slip out when the door opens is on. I can keep them contained, if it is only me manning the door, but I have a revolving door system that works in their favour.
I finished the rough copy of Forbidden Contact yesterday, and my eyes are still burning, too many hours on the computer. The bonus is that it is done though, and I can look forward to moving on. When I start writing again, it will be to begin To Capture an Ancient, and I won’t stop until Kings of the Empire is done. I may take a small reading break from time to time to catch up on my TBR list (good luck there), but it is what it is.
I am expecting the final edits for Earwen’s Song at any time. Becca has been notified that they will be here before her day off, and she has penciled it in. I have to let Cora know, so she knows to expect the information to do the back cover with. If you think that is exciting, listen to this, I just named book 5 of the Tantalus Series... Book 4 is going to be called INTERCESSION (I think I mentioned that before), Book 5 will be called The Phoenixes Choice... interesting things happening on that planet, but the release of those is a long time from now... I will write them after a short break from writing Kings of the Empire. I am still working on a name for the new Elven Series that I will introduce at the end of next year. ( and yes, I am not talking about Guardians of the Empire.)
Well, it is time to check on the bratz, they are no longer running, which means they are into something, probably on top the kitchen counter (It doesn’t matter that there is nothing on it, they are and maybe they will get lucky and find something.) With Thena, she is happy if mama picks her off the surface and puts her onto the ground. Some would push her off, but that skinning tiny little cat is just too… well, put it this way… I don’t have the heart. Tath knows better to get into the things she does, he is larger and my conscience doesn’t bother me as badly. He figured that out early in life and just watches her get in trouble. Well, thinking about Tuesday, the vet, and having a hissing good time. As their vet puts it, it is all about attitude… LOL. Signing off until next Saturday, when I will fill you in on the vet and my new writing plans.
