After keeping you awake until 2 AM you wake up at 5 AM with the immediate thought that you are going to have a dead cat shortly... just as soon as you can find a weapon.
Cat is walking all over your sore mistreated body,
licking your nose
and poking his wet, icky snout any place there is skin showing from inside the safety of the blanket.
He is a dead cat.
You open your eyes,
he is sitting in front of your face,
on top your chest,
giving you that look.
Good morning, mommy. I love you. Purr, purr, purr, kitty kiss and hugs.
Sigh.
Heart melting.
So not fair.
There ought to be a law about this sort of thing. It doesn’t matter what they want,
food, cuddles or for you to clean their litter pan,
you are theirs to command.
What can I say… I am putty in his paws.
Yes, he is sitting beside the keyboard now as I type,
purring and giving me that look.
I have been fed, had water, done the kitty pan thing and gotten a bit of fresh air… it is time to cuddle and catch a cat nap.
Sooooo not fair.
Sorry cat, I have work to do.
A flick of his tail, a disdainful look,
walking off giving you THOSE looks over his shoulder (you know the one), then screaming from the bed for someone to take pity on him and not make him sleep alone.
I am well into working on the releases for next year. ‘King’s Daughter’ has partially gone into second stage edits,
(the first 10 chapters), which means that those should be headed into third stage edits in the following week after returning.
When it comes back from that they will go into the final phase, by then more should be available.
It begins.
I am at the 70% mark of ‘First Contact’ and the 25% mark of next spring’s novella (that one will be done before the novel is finished.)
Becca is working on the cover for ‘Living in the Light’,
Cora (when she gets rid of her computer virus) will have the cover for ‘Luthien’s Song’ done.
Becca is also working on two more. Oh yes, Cora is also doing the cover for ‘Integration’, book 2 of the Tantalus Series.
I haven’t done anything about the cover for ‘Merika’s Story’ yet because I am seriously thinking of changing the name. Or not.
If everything goes well I should have next year’s schedule by the end of this year. Trying to get ahead of the game here in case of problems.
(which I know are coming, what can I say, forewarned is forearmed).
When I am finished with Integration I will begin to work on ‘Tratchars’, which will be a 2016 release, not sure when in 2016 yet.
Snoop had huffed and moved off, he is disgusted with the lack of attention, both on and off the blog. He says I can sleep with the dog tonight.
(We don’t have a dog.)
That tells me that by the time night gets here I will be forgiven.
Well it is time to go, I have a big batch of lasagna to put together. This works for me. Have a good week and keep in contact.
I will have more news to tell at a later date… things like the names for the 2 novellas in 2015.
Poor kitty all he wants is your attention mom. LOL Good thing to get ahead while you cana and looking forward to the covers for the rest of the books. Enjoyed as usual.
Thank you, and Snoop sends purrs.
