Less than a couple of weeks and it will be 2021. I can barely believe all that will be going on next year. I need to take time to revamp the upcoming release list. This is crazy. Then again there are times I declare I am definitely certifiable.
Christmas this year is going to definitely be quiet. The local government has banned all get togethers, so you know it is going to be a lonely one. I will probably have one brother, and perhaps another person here, grand total. I made sure everyone, well almost, got their presents early. I have 2 left to get to their new owners, one is going to be very late, the other I am hoping for better from. As I told sis, we are all old enough to handle this, even if it would have been nice to see others. I can think of others in worse positions.
I did get the tree up, with the help of my one niece, and it is decorated. I put extra lights on it but still remember the ones we used to have when we were young the most. Some of the trees were so skimpy that I swear Charlie Brown would have left them alone. Nevertheless, we happily decorated them, and for the really empty areas, we spread angel hair over the spots and made sure there were lights underneath so that it gave the tree an ethereal appearance. Santa still came, and we were happy. Those were simpler times when if you got a doll or a game for Christmas you thought you had the world. It sometimes seems the smaller gifts were the ones you valued the most. Times change and so do people.
I have a list I made up of books I have to write over the winter, so you know I am going to be really busy doing this. I have high hopes that I will get them done. Luckily only a few need to be done for 2021. Most are either for 2022 or 2023, for further ahead. I have many written with no release date on them yet. I know how crazy that sounds, but there it is.
At any rate, I am going to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas, hope 2021 is a much better year for everybody. Also, don’t forget, the Anthology is close to being released, only a few more weeks. https://maabraham.com/sinners-saints/
