I woke up this morning, from a night of being used as a trampoline by two cats that sense spring and springing in the air, and found a green Yoshi on my pillow. It is looking suspiciously new, but I know Tath can’t open the drawer where I keep them and, I can guarantee, Thena can’t. Even if they could, neither could get the keychain attachments off of them.
I made the mistake of throwing it, and the Tath cat was all over me like a rash. He is certainly one happy kitty at this time.
I eventually put a stop to the shenanigans because it was getting a little rough.
(Too rough for Thena, she took off for parts unknown in the house.)
So, you probably are wondering how my little reading holiday is going. I am on my sixth book, four more in the pile and I have read a part of George R.R. Martin’s latest book. I have one or two to listen to on audiobook after this and I can respond to the writing pad that has been calling to me over the last week.
What else have I been up to? Besides beginning to see the signs of the spring rush when it comes to safeties, very little else.
This week I am expecting to get a little visit from my niece and her little family.
Beyond this, I made a few changes to the chapter I wrote in ‘The Tratchar’; this was before my reading began.
I also made the first set of changes to ‘An Elven Love Song’. So you know Eniko has 2 more files waiting for her attention.
Right now, Marie is working on ‘The Legacy’, which will be a short story coming out in the near future. She will then work on ‘The Warrior’, while I write ‘The Tratchar’.
I have set out 9 books to read during my next break, which will be after I finish ‘The General’.
This should be sometime in July, while we prepare for the release of ‘Final Contact’.
I am deciding what to do after my next break and am leaning heavily towards ‘Rebuilding the Empire of Light’. Not sure yet if this will be another novella or not. I am assuming so, but you never know. It will come, as will the rest. I have a few other irons in the fire, but you know how that goes. By the time this year is over, I can see where I will be working into 2022 releases and, for some little reason beyond my comprehension, the further ahead I get, the more I look at things and feel that I am falling behind.
Does that make sense?
Anyway, until next week, take care and enjoy this gorgeous weather.
Glad you are warming up some! Enjoy your time off and continue to do some reading – you are so far ahead now, so catch up on your reading. Have a good weekend.
I am glad you are resisting the call of the pen and paper, you are doing great 😉 have a nice weekend
