Going to be taking care of everything here on my own tomorrow, so I figured I would get a head start on the things on my ‘to do’ list. I can’t say that I got much done on it today, so I won’t go into that. Anything I wrote, which ended up not being much of anything, ended up in the shred bin. Sigh. What do I have to blame for this? I think you already know. I didn’t get much sleep again last night, mainly because the house had a smoky smell to it caused by the neighbour’s wood burning stove. I don’t mind them using wood to heat with, but the wind could smarten up and blow the smoke in a different direction. I would say I will be able to play catch up napping over the weekend, but that won’t be happening. The things that we had booked to do tomorrow had to be rescheduled and, you guessed it, they will be done Sunday afternoon.

As for the bratz, well not too much to say there. They have been hiding in anyplace that they could find warmth, can’t say I blame them either. For 3 nights in a row we had a windchill of -53C. I sometimes curled up with them, they throw more heat than a furnace. Then there was last night. Tath found one of his old straws. Well. Guess who was romping on the bed, and me, between the hours of 4-6. You guessed it. Even Thena was ready to get up and lay a whopping on him for bouncing all over the blanket she was hiding under.

From what I understand, Becca will be doing formatting this weekend. She has ‘The Princess’ in her file, as well as a new version of ‘Gabriel’ and (just in time for this) ‘Standing in the Light’. It is too early to put the last one up on Amazon, but the others could all go. ‘The Princess’ will be released on Feb. 20 and ‘Standing in the Light’ on May 31. Where does this leave us as far as the editing team? Sarah reports she has begun working on ‘Final Contact’. Candy is not working on anything at this time. Eniko says she has been looking through ‘Tyndal’ and she also has ‘Angelika Leanne’. ‘Dream Warriors’ is sitting in a draft file waiting for her to finish the first 2. Marie is working on ‘The Priestess’ and has ‘Hidden Treasures’ as well as ‘An Elven Love Song’ waiting for her to finish the first one in a draft file. For a change I have gotten ahead on the first one.

What am I doing? Now that I have finished fixing things and writing the last 2 short stories, I am working on ‘The Warrior’. I am also waiting for the last part of the covers from ‘The Tratchar’ and ‘The General’. T’Harris and Anders are taking a bit to finish off. Then there are the covers for ‘Dream Warriors’ and ‘Death of Legends’. By the time these are done, I should be finished (hopefully) writing ‘The Warrior’. Funny how the ones you fear will be the most difficult end up not being so. At this point, I am more concerned with ‘The Tratchar’… ‘The General’ shouldn’t take too long, it is half done and I know what I want in it. ‘The Healer’ is beginning to want to be heard, but I am pushing it aside, as I have to get some of the other stories from the different series written. I am so behind.

On that note, this is beginning to lag on, so I am going to leave you here. Now that it is only in the -20s, we are getting more snow, which means I have my work cut out for me there. It never ends. With this in mind, I will wish you the best in the following week. Stay warm…
