The Bratz have run rampant all week and I am dragging my butt. I have work that needs doing during the day when they are resting up, I don’t have the time to keep them awake.
I thought I had it cased by keeping the house cold during the night, but that isn’t going to stop them, at least not this week.
Half the time when I see Thena she is in mid air.
Tath is right behind her and they are tearing up the house.
The other day I got a 3 inch scratch on my face from Thena’s back claws, as she streaked by with Tath chasing her in the middle of the night.
I soon cooled their tracks after that, but the next night it was back on again.
I need a cat hobbler. (Thena needs another nail trim, but after the last hissy fit she threw, I don’t know anyone brave enough).
I promised myself I would quit reading early this week. Of course that was 4 books ago. Now I am serious about it. I have company ledgers to type out, as well as 7 chapters to add to the ‘Hidden Treasures’ file.
It is time to get motivated, we are half way through January and there is no way I can finish ‘The Warrior’ by the end of February.
(March maybe). Not that this is that important as it is a 2020 release anyway, but my editing team needs time to look at it too.
How are the Editing members doing? Marie is working on ‘The Priestess’. Eniko just finished ‘Standing in the Light’ and will begin ‘Angelika Leanne’ soon. Candice is working on ‘Equals’. Sarah says she will be sending me ‘The Princess’ today and then continue to work on ‘Final Contact’ until she gets ‘Standing in the Light’, which needs to go through Candice first.
This leaves Eniko with ‘Tyndal’, ‘Dream Warriors’ and ‘The Priestess’ (I believe these are all 2021 releases). That means I really need to get busy or I will fall behind.
After ‘The Warrior’, I will write ‘The Tratchar’, a 2022 release and finish off ‘The General’. That will put The Guardians of the Empire series into 2023, and it will be time for me to work on something else. I am hoping to have ‘Hidden Treasures’ and ‘Elven Love Song’ finished during this time too.
It is one thing to know what you are going to write, another thing to put it onto paper.
So, what will I be doing over the next week? I will type out the ledgers, so the accountant will be happy with me, and then I will bring the ‘Hidden Treasures’ file on the computer up to date.
(It is a good thing those chapters are small ones and that story is a short one.) For that matter, so is ‘Elven Love Song’, which is Matrium’s story. Hopefully I can work a half a dozen chapters into that list for ‘The Warrior’. I have to admit, Kestriel sure doesn’t act much like a High Elf sometimes, he completely surprised me in the first chapter.
Time to see what else he is capable of.
With this in mind, it is time I got down to work. So, until next weekend, have a good one…
I hope you cleaned that cut very good – cat scratches can get badly infected. That happened to my Mom-she had to go to outpatient wound cleaning. So keep an eye on that scratch! I wonder why the Dynamic Duo are so frisky now especially when you have it cool in the house. They don’t want you to work! 🙂 Hope you have a decent weekend.
