It is the first weekend of 2019 and Tath and Thena have learned that not all things are going their way, especially when I have visitors. Rules are there for a reason and they definitely pertain to 2 Siamese pussycats.
Rule number one, stay out of the luggage… yes, it has been a battle.
Rule number two, leave the toys that do not belong to them alone…
… you wouldn’t think this is difficult as they have a score of their own to play with, but these are new toys and still have the labels attached.
Rule number three, no hissing at strangers, this is especially important with Thena, the hiss queen.
So far the score is pussycats 10 us, Zip.
Everyone has vacated the house for the moment, except for the cats and I and they are on the hunt to see where everyone went, so they feel free to get into things again… not happening. I have the door firmly closed on that. You ever notice how much cats hate closed doors?
You would think they would have gotten used to that by now, but nope. As far as they are concerned, if that door opens, the room is theirs, until they realize that it is either not going to be allowed, or there is no one in there to bug.
Then it is back to bothering me.
I figure I have 2 more days to read, and then it is time to pick up the pen and begin to work on ‘The Warrior’. Considering how many open plots I left in ‘The Priestess’ this book should nearly write itself, but I wouldn’t count on that.
Hopes are that I will have it done by the end of February. Reality is more like the end of March. We will see what happens as the ink gets used up.
What have I done during the holidays for writing? Not much. I have gotten a good chunk of ‘Hidden Treasures’ written, so you know that in a couple of years I should be into the DragonSwans Series.
I also got a bit of ‘Elven Love Song’ written, but have a lot to go in there because I made a few fatal flaws. This is why I never write more than one story at a time.
‘Spirit of the Light’ is now available, basically, and ‘The Princess’ will be coming back to me over the weekend with all the changes to edit, which means it will be heading for final proofread soon. The formatting will be done after that and we will put it up for preorder.
Up to this point, the editing team feels sorry for Thieron, imagine that.
(And his Dragon isn’t even scared of his LM like T’Harris’ and Anders’ Dragons are their, not that they know that the females they are frightened of are theirs yet.)
If it wasn’t so far away before the release of ‘The Tratchar’ and ‘The General’ I would show you their covers (yes, I have seen them), the secondary covers aren’t done yet though. I love those covers. Actually, all the covers for the ‘Guardians of the Empire’ series are beautiful.
Gotta love Cora’s work.
At any rate, it is time to go as this is getting long. I will check in with you next week with a new progress report. Until then, have a good one…
LOL, the Dynamic Duo at it again!!! Glad you got some reading in-was time for it! I love all of Cora’s covers – they are just beautiful!! Have a good weekend and enjoy some peace.
