Yes, the day is nearly upon us and I will have a small houseful, which will be nice. Today I will dust the house and touchup the areas that are what everyone calls lived in. This is the shakeup time, when things are up into order for the big day. There is no worry about writing, ‘The Priestess’ is finished and has been sent off for first stage editing. I have not received ‘The Princess’ back yet, and with 2 more stages of edits to go through, I am being to wonder if I should reschedule it for later in the year and put ‘Final Contact’ in its place. That one is going through final stages of editing now, so it isn’t out of the realm of possibilities that it could be done in time. These things take a lot of time to get right, and still I look at them after and think they could have been done better. (Imagine that.) I will know better where I am sitting with this after the holiday season. If I will be changing the schedule, it will be as follows, ‘Final Contact’, ‘The Princess’, ‘Equals’ and then ‘Standing in the Light’. I am waiting for ‘Spirit of the Light’ to be formatted, so that one will not be changing.
As I dust my floors, I will be listening to Christmas music today. It is only fair, as it is time for that type of thing. Tomorrow, I will pull the turkey and sit back to relax, and yes, probably to work on ‘Elven Love Song’ which is Matrium’s Story. It is only a short one, so the possibility of it being finished by the release time for ‘Spirit of the Light’ is a big possibility. I hope that is good news.
As January settles in, I will have a visitor for a few days, little bro will be here over my birthday. I will begin to write ‘The Warrior’ after he leaves, with hopes that it will be done sometime around March. If ‘The Tratchar’ keeps forming in the back of my mind the way it is, I could see that one done by June, with ‘The General’ completed by August. It will be time for a break by then. somewhere along the line, I will be writing another short story called, ‘Hidden Treasures’, which will be the beginning of the DragonSwan series. (I am rather looking forward to that one.)
Of course you know Tath and Thena are all excited about this. They have it all figured out, with no writing pad in her hands, mama is fair game. Thena has a tendency to jump up into my arms at moments notice and Tath, if he can, he will drive her off, but he isn’t willing to share. (unless we are in bed and even then he gets his nose out of joint if she is in his spot.
I hope this news finds everyone healthy and happy, may your Christmas be filled with the spirit and love it was meant to be. Until next week, when I will know what my decisions will be better are, have a good one. Best Wishes for the holiday season.
