So much is coming at me at the same time. Some I am happy about, others, not so much. The one I am dreading the most this year is winter.
They are forecasting a cold, nasty season.
There was a time when that wouldn’t have bothered me, but that is over. Things change as we get older.
Tath and Thena agree.
They pop their noses half an inch outside of the door and refuse to go any further, not that they know what is out there anyway, the little suck-pusses. Snoop could have shown them a thing or two, not that he would have ventured out into this type of weather either.
The first flake of snow signalled the end of the dash for freedom as far as Snoop was concerned.
In 2 weeks I will be in Belleville, Ontario at Kalicon, where we will hold a Celebration of Light, do a small reading and spend an afternoon getting to know more people and signing books. From all I can see, it should be a blast.
My return home from this event will signal the end of my break from writing. I will then start working on ‘The Priestess’. I hope to follow up that next year with ‘The Warrior’.
Every time I think of some of the Elves that I am about to pair up, I chuckle.
They are so different from one another and have to overcome their prejudices to get to the point when they can bond in some cases.
Some are more compatible, like Gabriella and T’Harris in ‘The General’. (I have that one half written already because they wouldn’t leave me in peace until I wrote at least that much of the story.
Cambria ‘The Tratchar’ is another that is bugging me, but she seems willing to wait her turn at this point.
How are the other books doing in the editing lineup? Well. “Hidden Kingdoms’ is due to release on Nov. 6 and has been formatted to everywhere but Amazon. I should have physical books by the time I get to Kalicon… crossing fingers. Sarah has ‘Spirit of the Light’, as well as ‘Final Contact’.
‘People of the Pheonix’ is waiting for her in my draft files.
Candy has ‘The Princess’ and says she is working on it steadily.
Eniko is working on ‘Standing in the Light’. ‘Dream Warriors’, ‘Angelika Leanne’ and ‘Tyndal’ is in the draft files awaiting their turn.
Equals in in someone’s hands, but I have lost track of it. I know, bad.
Anyway, it is a blustery, damp, cold and rainy day and I have made up another list of things that I need to get done, so I getter get at it. Until next week, stay well and warm.
Wow, all the books being worked on – whew!! Seems as we get older, we don’t enjoy the cold like we used to. 😦 Enjoy your weekend too.
