After complaining about the cold during the winter, we are about to reap the wrath for mocking Mother Nature. She is going to fry our collective hides. I am hearing about the weather being nasty all over with temperatures in the 100s.
All I can say to that is, I have central air.
Not going to say much else, because that too can fail and this is only the beginning of summer.
You know what they say about tempting fate.
How are the bratz doing in the heat? They love it. Thena sits in the window and tries to catch the barn swallows as they torment her.
To make sure they have the upper hand in this, they have built a nest under the eaves, where we can’t get at them… I swear they are landing on the ledge of the window just to blow raspberries at her and then wiggle their bums to egg her on.
She paws at the window as if to say, give me some open space and they are mine.
Trouble with that is, I don’t think she would know what to do with them if she caught one.
Tath? He is being his regal self, and waiting for me to turn my back on the cupboard for a few moments so he can jump up and raid whatever got left behind for the two minutes I would be gone.
The little Tath thief.
You will be wondering how the books are coming along. I can see where we are going to be proofing the paperbacks for ‘Teryka Rose’, ‘Forbidden Contact’ and ‘The Siren Connection’ during this upcoming week… the week when everyone is going to want to find a little shade to stay cool in.
I have approximately a dozen chapters to write in ‘Angelika Leanne’ and around ten for ‘Tyndal’.
At the same time, Brian Callanan is doing the narration on ‘Hunter’s Challenge’, which means it will be available to listen to some time in August.
August is going to be a busy month for me too, because I plan to write ‘Standing in the Light’ that month. Lets not forget that Cora will be doing the covers for ‘The General’ and ‘Equals’.
The cover for ‘Angelika Leanne’ will be coming in September, the same month I will be releasing ‘The Siren Connection’ and going to Ignite Your Soul in London, Ontario. October, I will be going to Kalicon in Belleville.
Cora will be doing the covers for ‘The Tratchar’ and ‘The Warrior’ in October also. In November we will release ‘Hidden Kingdoms’.
The cover for ‘Standing in the Light’ will be made in January around the same time as we release ‘Spirit of the Light.’
Looks like I will be keeping myself busy, because while I cruise though September and October, I still plan of having ‘The Priestess’ written by the end of the year.
Well, enough of that. It is time for me to get back to work if I intend to get this all done on time. So, until next weekend, stay cool and enjoy your summer…
Hope you have a good weekend. You are getting a heat wave like we have! Hoping to get some rain SOON – we are just so dry!
