My niece is here with her children, it is tournament season and her daughter is playing baseball this weekend. Her game yesterday got rained out in a downpour, so they raced here to get out of it. (I am only a 15 min drive away from where they were.)
Anyway, they came through the door dripping wet and freezing cold because of it, even if the weather had been hot before.
Several cups of tea, a warm bath, cuddling under blankets on the couch and a movie later they were in great shape and the toddler was on the go.
In case anyone wonders where I get the idea for the younger generation in the Elven series, I guess I should say I love the energetic tinkers.
They are like energizer bunnies on steroids.
So, you are probably wondering how things are progressing on the book front here. The formatting has been done.
There will be small booklets, to match the size of the larger ones, in the Tantalus Series with ‘Forbidden Contact’ & ‘The Siren Connection’. ‘Teryka Rose’ has also been done.
We are waiting for covers for them all.
When things are done I will make them available. I will have all these books and more at the signings I will be going to.
In fact, I will even have ‘Hidden Kingdoms’ at Kalicon.
So, what have I done worthwhile lately, besides write? Not much, unless you count that I probably made it rain yesterday… LOL. Think about it, I got the grass cut, which means it needed watering to grow again.
I can also see signs of apples forming on the tree outside, not that I had anything to do with that, except to watch its progress, but I tend to do that best anyway.
I have been typing on ‘Angelika Leanne’ and have 15 chapters to go to catch up to where I am writing. There are currently over 21000 in the electronic file and the rest is on paper. It is coming.
The bratz, you ask? They are in hiding, which is funny to watch.
The moment they heard the pitter patter of little feet at the door yesterday, they took off like a couple fur lined streaks for my bed, where they tunnelled under the cover.
I get such a blast out of that… does that make me bad? No matter, it is their way of dealing with things, not like Snoop who used to trot ahead of the toddlers just fast enough to keep them running after him and keeping them out of trouble until they wore out.
Well, time to move off and let you get back to enjoying the heat of summer. In another week we will be working on the audiobook for ‘Hunter’s Challenge’ and we will see how things are progressing on several fronts. Until then, have a good one.
LOL – the patter of little feet!! Didn’t think the Dynamic Duo were such wusses!! Hope you enjoy your visit and weekend.
