The grass is slowly turning green, the trees are budding and they have a fire ban everywhere. It is very dry this year, so far. You never know what is coming at you, but there is very little rain in the forecast, which extends for two weeks and can change at moments notice.
(Sound familiar?) There is no snow left and hockey playoffs are in full swing. The city I live next to is actually in it this year, which means that every couple of days they throw a street party, literally.
I believe the last one drew over 17000 people. The stadium was sold out and the game was televised everywhere.
Guess who sat back with a manuscript in hand and reworked a few chapters during the game.
How is that progressing, you are wondering? I am close enough to the end to believe I should finish this part of ‘The Princess’ by the end of the day.
I am going to relax for a day after that, finish the book I began to read, then dive into ‘Equals’ on Monday.
I will also do something about the state of the house as well. The kitchen, especially, is bad. It has been like grand central station in that room this week and it looks like a herd of buffalo ran through it. Time to bring out the bucket and mop.
Thena has began to demand more attention. How, you ask? By jumping into my arms as I cross the rooms.
No, she doesn’t warn me she is coming, she just does it.
One of these days she is going to miss, I know I have once and she wasn’t impressed.
Tath watches it all with this, ‘silly female’ look on his face. You know he is plotting deep in his mind what his next move is going to be.
Last night he had her cringing into me as I was drifting off to sleep… I think he believes I should get a larger summer blanket, it isn’t big enough for the three of us when he stretches out.
How is edits coming otherwise? I am not sure. I think Eniko has stalled on ‘Hidden Kingdoms’, I haven’t heard about ‘Final Contact’ from Candy, Sarah has been on the last few pages of ‘Teryka Rose’ for a couple weeks, but it is coming.
Betty is waiting to do the proofread. Becca will format when it is all done.
The trail is there, but life is happening everywhere. I am going to need ‘Teryka Rose’ soon, so it can go into a preorder status.
Well, with all this in mind, it is time I got back down to business so I can add ‘The Princess’ to the editing pile. I am going to try to finish ‘Equals’ before the end of the month, so I can start on ‘Angelika Leanne’.
Before the end of September, I want to have both of those done, as well as ‘Standing in the Light’. It is doable.
If I can do this, I will spend the rest of the year working on ‘The Priestess’. Britallia needs her story told too.
What happened to ‘The General’? You ask. It is sitting at the half way point, not because the storyline isn’t bugging me, but because I put it aside.
It won’t take that long to finish when I pick it up again, but even after I finish ‘The Priestess’ there are two books to write in that series before it will be released, ‘The Warrior’ and ‘The Tratchar’. With all this in mind I better toddle off… I have work to do.
Until next weekend… be good… read a book and enjoy the warmth of spring.
Thena is going to hurt herself or you one of these days with her jumping at you!! All the stories coming along – whew. Glad you’ll get some reading in too. Have a good weekend!
