I have had company all weekend, and it was good to see people I haven’t for a long time. Sometimes, after a long period of time, you get to realize that you have missed those you love when you don’t see them. With luck it will also refresh my mind, because that has not been working with full thrusters lately either.
Thena enjoyed the visit, she climbed on top of me and burrowed into my arms and purred. Tath tends to hide when people come and that meant she was the Queen of the castle.
I think Tath found out that his bladder would only hold for so long as a couple of hours before everyone left, he came slinking out of my room. He can be such a little coward sometimes.
Surprisingly enough, he isn’t that way with everyone. It can be difficult to believe that he has lived here for over 3 years now, and yes, he is definitely the king. Thena doesn’t mind most of the time, as Queen, she gets to trim his hide from time to time.
But, when she goes overboard, he smacks some manners into her. I think we are all hoping that the next 2 weeks go quickly, as she is going to spend part of the day at the vet’s getting her nails clipped and teeth cleaned. No one wants to touch that cat to do these things while she is awake. I have done it, but I have also gotten scratched and bitten…little wildcat.
Anyway, outside of a great weekend, my life has been dull. I ordered the cover for ‘The General’, although that won’t be done until some time in August. I have also made a few concrete plans for Kalicon, the book signing event I will be going to during the last weekend in October. That is beginning to sound like it is going to be a blast.
Well, as it is late, I am going to make this very short this week, I have to save a few things in the other room from a pair of rampaging kitties. Until Saturday, when things get back to normal again, be good, but not too good.
So glad you had a nice time with your loved ones. Thena is hot stuff and poor That, his bladder must have been ready to explode. Always enjoy your blogs and until next weekend, have a good one.
