I am the type of person that sleeps with the window open at night, unless it gets too cold, which could be something that will be coming up in the not so distant future. What does this mean? We woke up to snow on the ground.
It isn’t going to stay, so that isn’t the problem, and the forecast for next week is beautiful.
To me this rings of a false security.
The long range (2 week) forecast, says that the rest of the month should be snow free. I am crossing my fingers they are right.
I always frown at seeing snow on the ground at Halloween, it makes things difficult for the little kiddies.
I won’t say I didn’t write anything on my first week away from work, but what I wrote doesn’t release for years… Yes, I can be like that. I nearly have 3 chapters written on the beginning of ‘The General’, and I am loving T’Harris’ character.
He comes across as arrogant, but that isn’t how he really is. Perhaps I should rephrase that, he actually thinks less of himself than the other Guardians, and even then there is ego to spare.
I wouldn’t worry too much about it though, as Gabriella, his Life Mate will trim his wick.
For the first time in a long time, I am not sure what will be going on this week. I am doing a little clean up in the basement, which means at least 1 trip to the recycle station.
My house, except for the kitchen is clean for a change.
I did manage to read 2 of the books I set aside to read, which means I will probably finish the other 5 during this upcoming week.
Beyond that, I have no edits that need my attention, which is scary as the December release isn’t in yet. It will get here in time.
I do know that when the reading is done, it will be time to dive into ‘Hidden Kingdoms’.
Chapter 1 has been written, and I do know where it is heading. I hope to have it written before Christmas, so I can quickly write ‘Spirit of the Light’, which will be a novella.
I will take a quick break after that before heading into ‘The Princess’ and the ‘The Priestess’. Those I am hoping to have finished before the end of April.
Notice, I have a good idea what I am doing this winter. I want to follow up all that with ‘Angelica Leanne’, and perhaps a couple more breaks. This should be interesting.
The kitties can sure tell it is getting cold outside. They looked at that snow and dove back for under the feather blanket this morning.
They will come out and raise the roof a little later, as all that white stuff melts.
Snoop used to go into hibernation at this time of the year and not come out until spring. He had this thing about anything wet and the cold, which was really funny.
I remember once, when he decided to make a great escape from the house once and ended up caught in a rain shower.
He jumped up and down in front of the screen door waving his front legs at us, as if to say “Let me in, let me in, I’m drowning.”
We laughed so much at him that it was all we could do to open the door to allow him through the doorway. He was up into the arms and purring loudly after that happened.
Luckily, he wasn’t very wet, but he would have been a few moments later. Tath pretends to want to go outside, but open the door and he runs in the opposite direction. Thena will go out, given the chance, but she just stands there and screams, I have no idea why.
Well, it is time to go again, when I get the edits from ‘Rising from the Ashes’, I will post the first Chapter, promise. Until next week, be good. Wishing you health and happiness…
OMG – snow already!! So glad you are getting some reading in and hope you get to do more of them during the weekend. Hopefully, you can shut your brain down so you can. 🙂 Have a wonderful weekend Mary Ann.
We are just having rain here today, wish I could send it to California! Looking forward to T’Harris getting his wick trimmed 🙂
That 4-letter word again UGH not looking forward to it at all… let’s win the jackpot so we can move around the globe at leisure, what do you say MA? As for you taking a break between writing projects makes me giggle because you act like the characters are not your masters LOL I hope you do though. Stay safe, stay warm and don’t go out sliding on ice
