A pat on the outside of the blanket means I want to get under, it is cold. A kitty that is upside down on the bed means I want to be ruffed up, attack my tummy and we will take it from there.
A paw reaching for my hand under the blanket means, catch me if you can and pull me under the cover, so I can escape and do it all over again.
A cry of mama from the bed, as I enter the room, means are you coming to bed to cuddle us?
It doesn’t always get them what they want, but on the average, they figure they have me jumping through the right hoops.
I am taking a break from the writing at the moment, mostly. What does this mean, you ask?
I have shaken up the house somewhat, but not all. We are going to have a coolish week coming up, so that means I am going to make a couple of batches of meals, mainly hash and pot barley soup.
Most of this will be frozen for future use. I may make chilli, but I have my doubts, as I still have some frozen from last year.
I have to remember to make the cranberry sauce. I also am going to put the storm windows on the basement, so that will be done, if all things go well.
I am still on meds to control the vertigo, so I need to watch what I climb on.
I am also planning a trip to the dentist, so get that taken care of.
I may even take a trip to the passport office to get that updated, before the snow falls and I feel that my movements are being limited.
It is going to be a busy week.
How much did I read, you ask? Let me think… 3 pages? Sounds about right, it is a good book, but T’Harris and Gabriella are nagging, I got 6 pages written on them.
You are so going to love that couple. I nearly snorted when he asked her what gave her the impression he wanted to kiss her.
I thought Gabriel was a sneak, but wow, I am now thinking he was an amateur.
T’Harris has all the right moves. Too bad I have 4 books to write before I get to their story.
It is Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada and, as far as I know, I have nothing going on. I could roast up a turkey, but for what reason?
Sure, I cook for #3 bro, but he has a daughter that should be having him there for this family day.
I will do what needs to be done, but believe in family very strongly.
I will probably end up making a small turkey, which will mean doing up turkey pot pies after, but I will need supplies (I always am running short for some reason).
I will also fix up a carrot pie, as it is bro’s favourite pie. I try to be considerate that way.
I am getting things slowly ready to take on winter. I have brother booked for his flight in January. I have the Halloween treats ready to hand out.
I should have the recyclables ready to ship off to the station, and have done so, by the end of the weekend.
There is only a few odds and ends to see to and I am ready to go into hibernation.
With this is mind, I am hoping everyone has a great holiday. I am going to toddle off and watch the kitties chase each other from one side of the house to the other, while I resist the urge to write something on T’Harris and Gabriella… I should have their sparring… I mean meeting scene written today, if little else.
So, until next week, wish me luck… for I do plan on reading no less than 6 books during this writing break. Have a great Thanksgiving.
I hope T’Harris & Gabriella leave you alone this weekend so you can do more reading for yourself and enjoy the holiday!! The Dynamic Duo are just too much-very spoiled by Mama!! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Mary Ann. Love and hugs.
