I am finished the handwritten portion of ‘Teryka Rose’, but still have to finish off the typed one. I have 4 1/2 chapters to type out yet and that will be done.
I may take enough of a break to read a book, one, and then dive into the reworking, which I hope to have finished around or shortly after the 15th.
It always feels strange to finish off one of these books, but good at the same time. It seems like something is missing, you go to bed without your pen and writing pad and the concerns about edits begin, although by the time it goes to my editing team, it has gone through a couple checkovers already.
There is always more that I miss, and each one misses in their turn. We eventually get there though.
‘THE GODDESS’ has now gone through the initial stage of edits and Candy has it in her hands. She plunged into it immediately.
Sarah is close to being finished with ‘The Phoenixes Choice’, but it is difficult at this time of the year, especially when you have a daughter that is graduating from Sr. High and going to head for university in the fall.
That means there is extra things to do to make sure things run smoothly for her. Not quite sure if Eniko is going to do ‘Rising from the Ashes’ at this time or not. That short story shouldn’t take too long, as it has been gone through by several people already.
I am putting up the first chapter from every book I have published, one day at a time. When I have them all up, I am going to close off orders for RTC Ottawa, because it will be close enough to that time to put an end to these things. I am taking approximately 100 books with me.
I am close to being prepared for the signing. I have all my swag, I have my costume and other goodies. I will be ordering the main books that I will be taking with me and having them shipped to Eniko.
The plane ticket!
I knew I forgot something, just kidding.
I am doing a reading on Thursday night, hopefully from ‘THE GODDESS’, and yes, I know it won’t be out until next February.
Personally, I think Eniko is busier with the event than I am, my job seems to be writing more books, and looking for a paper bag that will fit properly. (Hoping that doesn’t get confiscated at the other end.)
Tath and Thena have been patient with me. They knocked their blanket off the window table and have taken to sleeping at my feet in turns.
Sure, they still have been getting into things. You hear the sounds of ‘Not you too, Tath,’ or ‘How could you!’ That is generally when they are on the cupboard, table, or in the early morning, when they have finished clearing the table of anything that is on it and I have a mess on the floor.
Being cats, they chase each other around and generally kill things that happen to be in the way as they pass at supersonic speed.
I have to put the wings back on one of my fairies, to tell people that it is an Elf.
I am debating which book to start first, ‘Hidden Kingdoms’, or do that in fall and write ‘Final Contact’? Either way, the July I had planned to take off isn’t going to happen.
I know, I procrastinated a little too much and now have to pay the price.
I am hoping to get a few weeks off in August, before I begin again.
On the flip side, if all goes well, I should get December off.
With all this said, I have to get back to work. Tath is not only looking for attention, but walking all over my keyboard and bumping my arms with his head, as he knocks things off the desk.
He wants attention, and this has gone on long enough.
Until next time, have a good one.
Sounds like things are going pretty well and even the Dynamic Duo aren’t being too bad. 😉 Shame you won’t get the reading done you wanted-but you never know. Have a good weekend!!
I will get to it
Loved it. Hoping that RC will bring you many new readers. Try to have some fun. Sorry you can’t take jule to read. You could take a couple of days and read at least one book. Hug the bratz for me.
We will see what happens, early days yet
