I have decided to make this into a two parter this weekend. One, will be the release of the names of the novels that will be in the Guardians of the Empire series. I am not finished ‘The Goddess’ yet, but it is getting closer. Last weekend I mentioned to someone that I had approximately six chapters to write before I put the ‘to be continued’ sign on the back. Well, that was four chapters ago, and I have no less than another four to go. I am not about to rush this, as I believe in a well balanced ending, and hope that this is what I am delivering. I must admit, Daeron is no knight in shining armour and his inner Dragon seems to have taken control of most of his thinking. It is that bit of Elf left in him that will have to fight to retake control of him, which is what Chania will demand must happen before she will accept their bond. Like most Elven Males, he will do anything to claim his mate, but I wonder if he will be able to control his Dragon?

I have two furry monsters of my own here. They can see spring coming at us, and Thena has already escaped a couple of times. Luckily she doesn’t go far, and she begins to yell the moment she gets out, so I know where she is. She also doesn’t run from me when I go after her to get her back… shaking the goodie can gets minimal results. Tath is another matter, he is not so sure he wants to be out there. It is an alien world to him, but when he gets out, he is more difficult to find, as he hides. Also, I am happy to report that the yard isn’t as icy as it was a few days ago.

I am hoping that by the end of the month to have ‘The Goddess’ reworked and into the editing pile. Of course, this doesn’t guarantee that it will happen. I would like to think I can get a couple books read between this one and my beginning to write on ‘Teryka Rose’. I am also hearing good new on the movement of the packages that have been stranded in all this attitude weather that mother nature has been handing us. I would like to think that everything that is stranded will leave shortly, so it gets to its destination. This includes the items that are headed in my direction.

The finishing touches to what I am taking to RTC Ottawa are beginning to show signs of coming together. (All but me) I will start on what needs to be done next week, beginning with the re-piercing of my ears. I haven’t worn any of my jewelry in years, and allowed things to revert back to nature.

All my major projects have been done, and today I am going to do something I haven’t done in several years. I am going to make a fruit cake… alright, mega fruit cakes, but there are line ups already forming for them, so … I realize what people will be thinking of this, it isn’t anywhere close to Christmas, thankfully, but it won’t go to waste (believe me). I will let you know how I made out next weekend. While the cakes bake, I will type and write, and yes, do something about cleaning up this messy house. Has anyone but me ever noticed how cleaning up a mess in one area creates more in others?

This all said, it is time for me to get back to work, and to put my list up so everyone has an idea what they have to look forward to in the upcoming series. Becca will be setting up an area, page, whatever, for the Guardians sometime in the future. In the meantime, be good, and maybe mother nature will do the same. (Snort). Until next week…
