The temperatures are going to be in the plus zone again, and it has certainly been a strange winter. There was a while during February, when I was sure that we were going to have an early spring.
It has happened, granted not many times, but when you live in the middle of a continent, you take what you can get.
This weekend, it is going to melt outside, and by Tuesday, we will be back into the deepfreeze.
Not into the really cold weather, and only for a few days, so there is no complaints.
I have this feeling Thena and Tath can sense the change in temperatures, because they are sure bouncy lately. This means that they are back to getting up in the middle of the night to boogaloo all over the bed.
I have a feeling I sleep through some of their antics. They don’t care, as long as they can romp in peace.
Thena is the one that I will have to watch for when spring comes, she will sneak outside, where she can meow because she escaped.
Tath actually hides when he gets out, I have this feeling he is afraid to be out, because the last time he went out I found him wedged between the house and the air conditioner.
When I lifted him out of the spot, he was shaking and clung to me like a life raft.
Well, we have made progress this week. My project of going through the old jars in the basement is coming along well, only a few hundred left to go.
I must admit, I didn’t get any typing done, which Eniko can testify to, because she didn’t get any up to date fixes.
I have gotten as far as Chapter XXVII in the writing done in ‘The Goddess’ though.
I will have that chapter finished today. Sarah has handed in all the backlog she had.
Betty is finished checking over ‘Merika’s Story’, and it is in Becca’s hands.
‘Rising from the Ashes’ will be done shortly, and then it can go into the formatting pile to wait for its time, which will be next year.
Cora is making the covers for ‘Rising from the Ashes’ and ‘The Siren Connection’. When those are done, they will go into the formatting pile with the others, as the stories have been written and edited.
well, all but ‘The Siren connection’, which is in Eniko’s possession, along with ‘The Phoenixes Choice’.
I believe I finally have the book signing event under control. Everything should be made up and ordered by the middle of May, except for the books, which I will do in the beginning of July.
I hope to be able to be working on the costumes by next month, and by then I will be finished with all the typing on ‘The Goddess’ and all the income tax paperwork.
For some reason there seems to be either more papers to take care of this year.
I think I may have figured out my problem when it comes to accomplishing things. I set up a desk in the living room, which is all well, but my focus isn’t on my work.
So, I decided, it is time to return to the kitchen, where I know I have to do things, if for no other reason than to get the computer out of the way of other jobs.
The bratzs don’t mind my being in there either, more room for them to slink around on the table…
they do love jumping on that table, and yes, the countertop and, and, and… you get the picture.
Well, it is time to get things moving here. I have another full day on my agenda, and this is only one of the items on the list.
Until next week, take care, and I will bring you up to date on what is happening.
I may even have some things to share with you…
So, until next weekend, have a good one.
Happy Saturday and enjoyed the blog. Can’t get over how ahead you are of writing these books! So glad you are more comfortable with the idea of going to the event-you know you’ll have a great time just like you did last year. Shared on FB & Twitter!
So look forward to the Saturday blog. I think animals really do sense changes in the weather. Colder here today. Didn’t get the snow in the valley this itime though. Will Tweet and Share from here.
