It definitely has been one for the records this week. The kitties were their normal selves, and occasionally you would hear them romping, while I yelped.
(They need their nails done.)
Yes, no matter how hard they tried, they couldn’t help tearing strips out of me when they used me for a bouncing board.
It isn’t that much further into the future when this will happen.
Thena will cuss out whoever does the job, and threaten them with eternal retribution,
and then purr when it is all over.
Tath will try to cut and run, and then cuddle in, depending who did the deed.
All will be well.
The week started off well. The writing is done, the reworking finished, and everything is ready to go into the editing piles. I am waiting for that file to empty before adding to it, I don’t want anyone to feel overwhelmed.
I did sneak in a couple of scenes from ‘The Goddess’, and do a couple of interviews, so I should have uninterrupted reading.
Right? Snort.
Right. Mother Nature came calling out of the West, bringing us a clipper, in the form of a blizzard.
It could have been worse, the snow isn’t that deep, but the ice under it is deadly.
My sister in law found that out the hard way, as she slipped and fell.
She is now in the hospital with a broken hip, not good.
To top things off, when I went into the basement yesterday, it was to find that the fitting over the hot water tank was spraying water all over.
(Good thing the basement isn’t used for anything.) So, while I wait for the repair man to come, the water is shut off, guess who is going to be busy when that is fixed.
I figure, it could be worse, I still remember having to carry water from the cisterns and heat it up to have a bath, so I know what I am talking about. Country living is great, if you don’t think of the things you had to do to survive back when.
I have managed to do some reading, a book and a half, but it is progress. Too bad my TBR pile has outran it for acquisitions through the week.
They too will get read, just not in the short time that I have set aside.
I would like to think that I can clear my vanity of the books that are on there, too… snort.
IF, I manage that, there are the ones on the tall dresser, the ones in the bottom part of the bookcase, as well as those in the upper part… we won’t talk about those on my iPad.
Blushing here.
Tath and Thena would be a lot happier about this, if I decided to stretch out on the couch, put a blanket over me, and they could lay over that. To give their idea credit, it would be warm.
After all the weather outside is frightful, as it plummets into the -20C and lower range.
Welcome to the Canadian prairies. LOL. Well, on that note, it is time I went to find something to eat that doesn’t include a lot of water and dishes, and hope for an early arrival of the repair guy.
Wish me luck, hope you are having a better week. Until next time, have a good one.
Yes you have had a very upsetting week. Why is it is always happens that way when you have something planned to do. Here’s hoping you get some reading in. Loved the blog and hugs the Bratz.
I guess the long TBR pile is common to all of us LOL hope your week will be a better one next week. Sending healing thoughts to your SIL. Hugs to you and the Bratz! Stay warm and stay safe.
