It was a great trip, lots of fun and laughter.  Now, I am having problems settling back down to work…  … yes, I am a bad girl and need to get back to writing.  I have managed to write a grand total of three chapters on ‘The Phoenixes Choice’, which is definitely not production.   Especially since I am not happy with the last chapter I wrote.   I keep telling myself that the time for rest and relaxation is over, it is time for work.   Not working.   To be fair, I am beginning to get myself together.  If I can’t write, I should at least begin to rework one of my old stories, the one that will be released next year.  Right?    You guessed it ‘Merika’s Story’.  I am not working fast on it, but maybe taking my time isn’t such a bad idea.

Tath and Thena had different reactions to my being gone for so long.  Thena decided I wasn’t going to touch her for a while, and that the house sitter had more rights than I did,  although she did sneak peaks at me as she cuddled into the other person’s arms and purred.  (Not working cat, enjoy.)  Tath wasn’t about to play games.  He had hidden in the linen closet for over a week, he could hear my voice, he was coming out.  “Mama!”  To be fair there too, he didn’t come running, he has more pride than that, but I have worn him like a shedding hair blanket since I have returned.

Little bro is here for the weekend, leaving tomorrow.  He hasn’t been home in months, but there is a new airline flying that is just opened up, and it is affordable.  Eniko and I flew with them when we went to Kelowna and I couldn’t see much difference in their service.   No one got pushed out of the plane as they flew over their home cities, it is a none stop flight, which is great, and only a couple of hours long.   Love none stop flights. 

I returned to do the finishing touches on Hunter’s Challenge, which is now up for preorder nearly everywhere.  Thank you, Becca.  Next week, she will do the formatting on the paperback.  I am waiting for the first chapter of ‘Intercession’ to be returned from edits, but first, expecting ‘King’s of the Empire’ from Sarah.  Hopefully within the next day or two at the latest.   I will send it off for proofing after that.  before it goes into Becca’s pile. 

I have a big list of things I want to accomplish this year, but it is not looking promising.   Maybe I am expecting too much, I am only one person.  Going to try anyway, wish me luck.  Well, expecting a few people to walk through the door at any moment, so I am off and running.  Yes, it looks like it is going to be one of those weekends.  Enjoy your summer, I can’t believe August is half way through already.  Have a safe one.
