I walk through the house this morning and realize what a hard night Tath and Thena must have had last night, and how deep I must have slept at times. I could have sworn they were in bed all the time, curled up against me. (The little furnaces.) But, the table has been cleared off, the kitchen cupboard has had visitors, and a few other places I could name. Yes, the things that were on them are now on the floor, including my wallet. The cats, you ask? They are in bed yawning and hoping I will return. I walked through the door a few moments ago and Tath gave a huge yawn, as he stretched and reached out a paw for me… mom… Thena is even more tired, she can barely keep her eyes open to yawn. They both look pretty contented. Of course, you know what I am going to be doing when I finish this, it is clean up time.
I have been a little under the weather, so not much has been getting done on the book I am currently writing... Intercession… I am working on Chapter XII, but haven’t typed out a word of it yet. My progress figures out to 2 chapters, every three days. I could be worse, Sarah, who is doing the edits on Kings of the Empire, hasn’t been well enough to do anything. Morganna reports that she will be out of school on the 20th and will really begin to work on Hunter’s Challenge. I have warned Sarah that when she gets that manuscript she is going to have to work extra hard on it, because it will be at least a month late or more getting up for pre-order. In the meantime, Eniko and I am working on a few other projects. Mainly the RTC Ottawa 2017 next August... yes, I will be going as a signing author, no, I don’t know what I am doing, but I am in at the deep end. It can’t be much different than attending a convention where I was CEO, right? We had a huge display, and I spent time being interviewed by a couple magazines, as well as being offered jobs, and a few other positions I turned down.
On the main news front, or not, I have decided to get a special poster and cards made up of our Gabriel. Cora will be working on it in a few weeks and it will probably be done by this time next month… I am so looking forward to seeing what she comes up with. Should be interesting, with that swordmaster’s physique, his long light blond hair and silver blue eyes. I will need to get some adjustments made up to the Tribunal Elder picture as well. I also have to think up a name for the last book in that series; yes, I can see the end of it coming up. (Probably in 2019) I have the schedule settled for 2018 in my mind and The Phoenixes Choice is on it. I will be writing that book after Intercession is finished. I have a small book to write, to introduce the One Empire Series on my list, and will probably have that one written before the end of the year... I would also like to have a few of my older efforts reworked by that time too. That would leave me free to write The Goddess, book 1 of Guardians of the Empire, over the winter. I don’t want to sound too ambitious by saying I would like to have least started, if not written, the first full novel of the One Empire Series by the end of winter. That would leave me free to go back into the Guardians Series next spring, or at least do a couple more reworkings.
Well, I have half a dozen empty pop cans laying on the kitchen floor, that used to be on the counter awaiting crushing, to pick up and tend to. This should be done before the twins get out of bed or there will be no peace this morning... they will come racing out of the room, running in circles, and I can hear the hub-bub already… what you doing mom, can we help? Oh, the door is open into the forbidden section of the house.... Yes, yes, yes... bonus. Catch us as we zip past you mama. Rolling eyes here… and yes, they can be like that. Well, other than that, before the front door begins to revolve and people race through it on a steady basis… it is time to bid you all adieu and hope you have a great day, I will be back next week with more… Guess, what… you gotta know I was too late, the first person walked through the door and both cats are on the run.
