How could she? Of course we all know who I am taking about… the hiss specialist, Thena. I have company at the moment, and the two antisocial kitties are outdoing themselves. Thena even went so far as to bite someone... “There are animals in my home, and they weren’t invited by me. You have your nerve, human.” Snarl, hiss, cuss, and head for her sanctuary... momma might get warmed by kitty fur tonight, but there will be no purring. She allowed strangers into their space. (Sticking out tongue and sending cats raspberries. They have the wrong idea, #1… my home, my space. #2… I reserve the right to have whom I please visit… suck it up pussycats. To heap insult over injury here, we will trim their nails before my company leaves. Take that you cute creators of hostile environment. I know what is going on, but really, to come out fighting like that? To draw blood? And no, the innocent look won’t work on me, I have seen you in action at the vet’s, I know what you are capable of. (If she was more like Snoop, she would have given me a look and flicked her tail at me.) Tath only hid where we wouldn’t get him. And hissed. (Not going to stop us from giving him a nail trim when the time comes.
The copies of Earwen’s Song are in town, which means I will get them on Monday. The new bookmarks are in town too, same thing there, Monday. I will be busy signing them in the afternoon. In the meantime, those who ordered the signed pre-arcs have received them, or will receive them sometime today… another job done. I can now turn my attention on to Kings of the Empire, and I am hoping to have 3 chapters written by the end of this weekend. They are pressing on my mind, and the Drazon has broken loose, to work havoc on the Empire. I promise he won’t do that unchallenged.
The first stage edits on Hunter’s Challenge has been done, the second stage edits are being taken care of and I should have the results soon. I am half expecting the main editing to be going on in both To Capture an Ancient and Forbidden Contact soon, that will leave Beyond the Myth in the first stage editing pile… Yes, I was ganging up on Eniko, but she loves it and will be looking forward to receiving updates on KOTE as I write. Sarah is going to feel put upon when all this hits, I am sure, because not only is she fixing past troubles, but doing the finishing touches on the new releases. (and still we find errors, rolling eyes here). There aren’t many, but even the best book can have them.
Well, it is time I toddled off, the world is coming alive around me and demanding I pay attention to it... me? I think a part of me would rather curl up in bed and go back to sleep, not happening, sucks to be me sometimes. Grabbing pen and toddling off, making note, buy more pens. Until next week, have a good one… also note, it is melting outside and although it isn’t spring yet, perhaps it won’t be too long in coming… of course you know what that will bring… so right, grass cutting. And the sound of running kitty feet, as their owners try to escape from the house... not happening cats.
