In the future, I will be changing the way I sign my paperback books. The charges for shipping and handling are getting to be a little much for some people, and I can’t say I blame them. Many can get free shipping and handling from the companies that they order their books from. With that in mind, I will be ordering book plates, which I will sign. When a paperback is ordered, and the person who ordered them sends me a contact email with the transaction number, along with an address to send the signature to… I will ship a sighed book plate to them to put into the book. There will be space for this on the title page (or other pages, if you don’t want to attach it there) for the plate. There will be no charge attached to this service.
I think it is great Idea and will save the stress and and costs for everyone. Thank you for doing it as long as you have.
I enjoyed it, but I look at how mailing charges are escalating and thinking that it might be more cost effective for those who are ordering to get it through another outlet and I will send any of the things I would have with it along with the personalized signed book plate. That could be put into the book when it got to its destination. Not perfect, but it still works.
