I have finished writing ‘Into the Demons Lair’, the last chapter gets typed out today and I will know how many words there are going to be,
although that will undoubtedly change when it is being rewords, one of the next step.
First I will type, then copy onto paper,
then I will rework the rough copy, allowing for edits,
fix the electronic file to suit the fixes, and, when all that is over, I will ship it off to Eniko for first edits. Sounds easy, doesn’t it?
Try doing that with 17 lbs of cats wanting to be held.
In Thena’s case, it starts with her wanting me to through her squeaky toy so she can chase it while I hold the Tath cat… not great for the typing phase.
I will make it work though.
I went to the eye Dr. the other day. Yes, this girl needs reading glasses, although I didn’t need a Dr. to tell me that.
What I did need was a prescription to get it right.
So now I wait for the call to say that they have been made up and are ready to be picked up.
They said 5 working days, so if they are talking not to include the day that I handed in the order, that will be Tuesday…
which figures, because I have a Monday appointment..
. hate having to do a daily drive into the city for limited reasons.
Yes, I can be lazy that way.
It seems like Dr. appointments never coincide with what I have planned unless they are made far in advance, and they they have a reason to throw a wrench in the works.
I am waiting to hear from Sarah, she has been sick and has gotten behind in her life.
She is working on the last of one book, before she takes possession of ‘Tratchars’.
She will then do the finishing touches on that one, before she takes on ‘Earwen’s Song’,
which is in second phase edits.
(expecting that back in the first week of October, then it goes on to Morganna).
Next week I get to see the proposed cover for ‘Kings of the Empire’, which I should be writing this winter.
The paperbacks for ‘Integration’ FINALLY got here, after multiple proofs.
It looks gorgeous, thank you Cora Graphics.
The cover for ‘Into the Demons Lair’ will get done in the first week of November.
(With the cover for ‘To Capture an Ancient’, being done in December.
I am looking forward to seeing them all.
I am changing the size of the cards I have been sending out, from postcard size, to collector card size,
much easier to handle.
I think people will like that they aren’t so big.
It will take time to make the transition, but it will get done.
Well, I have a list of things to get done today that extends from one end of my arm to the other, and two cats who are chasing each other around,
which means that I won’t be able to go anywhere without them running circles around my feet as I move around…
What you doing, mama?
Can I come?
Are you going to open that door?
Can i go in too?
Watch me jump, mama, jump, jump, jump.
Hold me mama, I am tired.
Are you sure you don’t want to go to bed and cuddle?
They had their biggest blast this week when the books came in from the printer.
I let them play in the packing paper,
so I could sign the books in peace.
Granted, that meant I had to clean half the house because of the spread paper on the floor, but you would be surprised what 5 miles of paper and 2 sparklie pompoms will accomplish.
Until next week, have a good one... finding a way to ship off all these books in the U.S.
No worries, it will happen.
My, such a busy schedule!! Trying to schedule a couple of appointments in one day rarely ever happens. 😦 Reading glasses-ah well, I’ve been wearing glasses since I was 11 yrs. old – nearsighted and for reading (all in one pair thank heavens). The Dynamic Duo can’t help themselves-they just love their Mommy! Have a good weekend! 🙂
LOL your Saturday posts always make me giggle. The Bratz are keeping you busy as usual 😀 looking forward to get the new manuscript *rubbing hands*
Those bratz never a dull moment with them around. Sounds like everything is moving right along. I was wearing reading glasses at 40. LOL Can’t wait to see the new covers. I don’t worry about you getting the packages to us I know you will do the best you can. Thanks for my Saturday laugh.
