I thought today would be quiet, laid back and relaxing… … sure doesn’t look like it anymore.
How did this happen?
I opened my email box and found the copy for the last edits on Integration I have been waiting for so impatiently.
That means that the next several hours will be spent editing the manuscript before I pass it on to Becca for formatting.
She will be happy to see that. It also means that I will be sending Sarah the manuscript for ‘Surrounded by the Light’,
which shouldn’t take her long, as it is a short story.
I am not the only one who is excited,
the kittens are beside themselves,
all over the computer desk,
jumping up and down…
on the keyboard.
(Well, not Thena so much… she wants to be held… I guess that is her way of congratulating me on the finish of it… rolling eyes here.
Or it could be that she is sorry that she knocked my cereal bowl out of my hand, which allowed the contents to spill all over the floor…
not happy kitten.
To be fair, she wasn’t either.
She wanted that milk.
It is harvest time for the gardens, more for some than others. Spend until 2AM shelling peas, there is a box of beans to do today, plus a few other things.
I should do a couple jars of pickles.
I will be doing cherry jam later, and probably canned salmon, sometime during the week.
Lots of fun. I keep getting interrupted, so nothing is getting done as quickly as it should.
It is also not my garden, so I am mooching.
I am taking a guess that Tratchars will be ready for last stage edits by the end of the month, but it could be longer.
Eniko is already working on Earwen’s Song.
When Becca is finished with the formatting on Integration, I will get Cora to do the back cover, which means Eniko has to write up one more piece for me.
The kittens had company come over to see them last night… 2 pugs. They are not gracious hosts, Thena went around jumping all over the furniture and hissing at them.
Tath ran and hid (mostly).
When he wasn’t hiding, he showed them what he thought of them in his territory..
. I wouldn’t want to meet that cat in a dark alley in the mood he looked like he was in..
. sorry pugs, sucks to be you at such a time.
To be fair, they were intruding in my room, cat sanctuary, and that is an offence punishable by feline attack.
Tath seems to be the type not to warn a pug that he is in trouble… but they will know.
Thena is very verbal..
. the tiny terror.
Which reminds me, they both need their nails cut.
Eniko will be surprised to know that the two kittens spent the afternoon, after she left, looking for her, before settling on the bed she slept in. They keep looking at that large bear and wondering when I am going to put it back on the bed to share his fur… you wouldn’t have noticed the amount of fur he is missing, because I shook the cover of the bed off… they have left tufts of his fur all over the room.
They are waiting for a repeat performance.
They said to say they have been good this week,
well, as good as it gets.
They are kittens after all.
Going to be short this week, typing finger is still sensitive from the cut and still can’t be exposed to the air or it will start bleeding… this is definitely rare for me and the kittens do not like that bandaid on my finger… That is the way the cookie crumbles cats.
Until next week. Have a good one.
Ypou are always so busy it makes me tired. LOL If the pugs invaded your room they got what they deserved. LOL Some cats and dogs get along just fine. Was Candy visiting or were you pug sitting. I dog sat for a couple of day for Jen. Didn’t realize what having a strange dog in the house was going to do to the other two. Loved the blog hug the brats.
Candy was coming to the rescue, cut my index finger and every time I used my right hand it reopened and started to bleed. Doesn’t stop things from needing to be done.
As usual, so enjoyed your blog. Guess those pugs didn’t know what they were in for-they sure found out fast!! I love the Dynamic Duo – the shenanigans they get into is just too much (though that’s not so good for you at times). Wow, you sure are going to be busy between the books and your garden doings. Have a good weekend Mary Ann!
Although Tath seems to be the shy one, I think he is the one to watch for. The look on his face was plain and simply… don’t mess with me…. this is MY territory.
I miss the Bratz even though they make my allergy flare up … And miss you too.
I am working on getting myself moving on A’s room, no luck so far LOL the write up will be coming sometime this weekend 😉
Thanks for the chuckles.
The room will get done in time, even if it happens the night before he arrives. They missed you, for they spent days on your bed, even Tath. I was surprised he came out and stayed out when you came.
Hoping Becca has time to do the formatting, if she does, the pbs should be here to mail out by the end of the month.
