Yes, it is showing signs of fall, beyond the rapid temperature loss.
The leaves are turning,
although the grass is still growing and very green.
It is very wet here, there has been enough rain to keep the river at flood stage, and all the foliage green all summer.
(These thing too must come to an end.)
I can see where the trees are slowly beginning to change color, and this week will probably be a prime example of how fast they can.
We are expecting a few nighttime lows near freezing, that will send a message no one wants to hear.
I am so not looking forward to winter this year, but like everything else, I know it is coming.
I don’t believe it is the idea of winter actually coming, I think it is more the forecast that everyone is saying the Farmers Almanac gave…. brutal, hard, winter.
Sigh. Please let them be wrong.
Those type of winters make me feel like a shut in.
Snoop seems to have burrowed in with all of this in mind. He isn’t at the door demanding I let him out.
He is in my brother’s room, (Yes, brother is alergic), curled up on his bed in a sunbeam, sleeping.
Maybe it is just that he is a lazy old Tomcat, yes, that sounds better than brutal winter.
Everyone says we should check to see how high the squirrels are hiding their nuts, no squirrels and the only nut is the one typing this.
They also mention squirrels tails being thicker.
Not about to go for a walk along that river back looking for squirrels to check.
On very cold days Snoop dives under the feather blanket,
places his head on my feather pillow,
and waits patiently for me to come back.
Not happening cat, sorry.
I have things to do, books to read and write.
Which brings me to another matter writing. I haven’t been doing any and I have to admit that after only putting pen to paper a couple times in August I am feeling pretty good.
I have this fear that I came very close to burning myself out.
That means I will only release 4 next year… I think I mentioned this before and everyone was happy about the idea.
In the next year I will finish writing ‘For the King and Elven Empire’, ‘Integration’, ‘Tratchars’ and another that I haven’t named, which will be book 3 of the Tantalus Series. That should keep me busy.
Notice I didn’t mention ‘Surrounded by the Light’?
I wonder if I should include the Novelettes?
I will be writing a different Christmas story in 2016 than the usual one about the Elven Children.
Not going to release about what yet… nope, nope, nope.
I also have something to share that Cora Graphics put together for me. What do you think of my collector card?
Perhaps I should have kept this quiet for a while, but I couldn’t.
The Tantalarian will be on the front and the planet scene on the back.
People may be interested in them, or not. Snoop says he want some too.
Thinking about putting something different on the one for the Elven Chronicles, but what?
I will figure it out.
I love tyhe Tantalus card. So they don’t all have black wings? It is certainly beautiful. So no Christmas story next year?
I am only afraid of your having a brutal winter because your river is so high now.
Enjoyed the blog very much.
Next year’s Christmas story will be ‘Surrounded by the Light’ The one in 2016 will be different
