Of course everyone knows what that means... yup, little bro has come home for a quick visit from the West. I picked him up from the airport sometime between midnight and one, he is off with my van already. We also stayed up until after 3. Yes, I am dragging my assets all over this morning… I want to go back to bed to catch up on some sleep. Snoop is game, he has been outside for 10 min. (it is wet out there, he won’t step off the step and he is bored). Yes, there are times I come in second best and he knows he better catch what sun he can out there now because he can feel fall in the air. The leaves are still green, well most of them, and we haven’t had frost yet, but that is only a matter of time.

We had the most beautiful show of the aurora borealis the other night. Love when that happens, I always take the time to watch the sky for a while, nature can be so beautiful in its raw state.

I have begun to start writing again, and Snoop is in heaven, though he wishes he could lay on my shoulders instead of my lap. I keep telling him, not happening... nothing like trying to think with a cat load of fur up your nose, and speaking of noses, his is cold and he keeps wanting to poke it at mine. Not on the program, at least not mine, lap it is. He has been extra cuddly lately and works at making sure I realize he is available to be picked up at any time. Off my chair if I want to sit on it, off my side of the bed, if I want to lay down, off me, if I settle anywhere. Nothing is sacred, especially paperwork, which can end up with any amounts of cat bum marks on them (not visible, that would be so ewwwwww)

The pugs went home this week, yes Snoop waved goodbye to them from the door, then walked me through the house to show me where they used to sleep so I could spray down the area with Lysol and Febreeze. He also sat on anything they laid on, thus getting the message across that blankets and sheets needed washing. I told him, they will be back next week to finish getting their stuff, he doesn’t care. He is happy things are back to normal, food dish on the floor, water in a glass on the dresser, and a mama all to himself. Spoiled pussycat. (Personally I think he misses them.) After all we did catch him cuddled in amongst them occasionally.

I am taking a guess that the final copy for Luthien’s Song will be available for pre-order by the middle of September. First Contact should be into final stage edits by then, and blast but the end of the year is coming at me fast. Sigh. The girls will be happy to get the editing break after First Contact, all except Sarah, who is going through a couple of the old books to fix a few errors and punctuations... yes, I know commas. Sigh. No matter, I will learn.

Well, I think I have bored everyone long enough. Snoop is on the verge of wanting attention, and I will emerge myself in water to avoid the situation. Until next week, We would wish you a great long week end and easy week following... and look at what little bro found and brought home.
