Yes, it is going to be a busy week. I am doing some work on old items, these things too must be done sometimes, as well as editing. Luthien’s Song will be coming back from Morganna in a few days for revision and check over again. It will then go on for proofing with Candy before going to to Sarah for the last major edit. Hoping to have Luthien’s Song ready for formatting at the end of the month or so. Now for the big one, ‘First Contact’ will be coming back from the first edit. Now for people who don’t realize it, this is moving ahead of schedule, for I didn’t expect it back until the end of the month. I am sooooo happy. Maybe that means there isn’t that much wrong with it, or not that much wrong with it, or maybe it is being sent back for reworking, which means it has to start all over. No matter. It all has to be done, and if it is not to be rewritten it will be dealt with and shipped to Morganna for phase 2. I will probably not see it back after that until into September sometime.

I put the first chapter of Luthien’s Song into the forum for members, and have received a few remarks about it. Generally those reactions can be summed up with one word: GASP!!! Yes, I know, break open the case of Kleenex, it should be interesting to see what the overall reaction is to this book is when the time comes.

It has been a strange summer, first cold and wet (way to wet), then warm and dry, then more warm and dry... some people are wondering where the blistering hot weather is that I forecast. All I can say is, if the weatherman can guess and miss, why not me? They have all that equipment, etc. to help. All I have is aching joints.

Snoop doesn’t know what to think, he has gone out, but he isn’t satisfied with what he is finding out there. Not sure what to think this year with him, he doesn’t even seem to be interested in teasing the neighbor’s dog, and I am getting the impression, from the remarks coming from that direction, that she is thinking of bringing the dog over and tying him closer to my front door so he doesn’t have to go so far out of his way. The only thing he seems interested in, besides food is curling up in bed, and I keep telling him… a person can only spend so much time in there. He doesn’t believe me. He needs his morning naps, afternoon naps, and evening sleep... so he can walk over me during the night, poke his wet nose into my face, lick my nose, and sit on my face. I won’t tell you how exciting it is to suddenly wake up with a furry body on top of me, and suddenly notice that as he is getting older, he is developing a lot of gas. It can make a person’s eyes cross at times.

Well no matter, it is time for the update. Cora is working on the cover for ‘Integration’, I am 1/3 of the way through ‘For the King and Elven Empire’ (the Elves are scrambling) Gabriel is overreacting, which is really something different for him, and he has declared war. On that note, it is time for me to shut my fingers up, close up this article, publish it on the blog and go eat my soggy serial. Snoop is also waiting for me to let him out so he can look for the sun through the haze. Or go back to bed.... not happening cat.
