I have been home for a week and the routine has moved back to normal, more or less.
I hit the pillow around midnight,
Snoop is already there,
sleeping in my spot.
(complains as I move him)
He then decides that it is time to go do whatever he does before returning.
I am expected to be settled by then.
He walks all over me (and this is news?),
while deciding where to lay down.
If I am on my right side, he settles on my hip.
If I am on my back, he stretches out on my chest and stomach.
If I am stretched out on my stomach, he curls up on my back.
If I am on my left side, he expects me to wrap my arm around him as he curls up on the pillow beside me.
(This is his favored position). Something tells me we are too familiar with what the other is going to do.
I tried closing the door on him once, but the serenade was more than the neighbor could stand.
I was wearing earplugs at the time but could still hear the hammering at the door, no, not the bedroom door.
Sigh. You would think the neighbor’s husband would stay sleeping, but it could have been worse, he could have sent his wife.
Then again her voice carries at a higher decibel range.
Snoop takes these things all in stride. He learned how to use neighbors as a kitten when people used to stop to ask us what we were doing to that poor child.
We would then show them Snoop, in his private tent,
the little Smoo would be purring and looking so innocent at that point.
Somehow the neighbors would know what it was about…
we weren’t letting him get away so he could run down the road beside the property where he could get hit by a passing vehicle.
(I swear we are living on the edge of a speedway).
After finding out that he was a cat and not a child they would stop in to pet the kitty.
He liked that, but it wasn’t the same as running free.
He just didn’t seem to like that bright pink tent with the screens.
I thought it was perfect, it let the sun and air in, and he got to go outside, where I couldn’t hear him as sharply as I could inside the house.
His favorite place in the house was in the sun porch, where I swear the temperature got to be 210F.
I would carry him out of there and he would be melted, in a backward arch, purring.
Well it was back to work this week, a little. Becca formatted “King’s Daughter’ and ‘Living in the Light’.
They are both on Smashwords and Itunes for preorder and I will keep everyone posted on where else as they become available.
I am not sure how Morganna is coming with Luthien’s Song, but I believe it is close. Eniko says she has gone through approximately one-third of ‘First Contact’.
I typed out a whole chapter of ‘For the King and Elven Empire’. Call me lazy. I will get back into the swing of things, but the rest is needed.
In the meantime my TBR list is beginning to dwindle.
Will keep everyone informed on how things are going.
I am hearing someone call… MAUH… Snoop is up and looking for someone because that someone got up and had the nerve not to return to hold him as he slept.
Yes, he has been using the guilt trip well since I got back.
Time to pet the kitty for a few until my cereal is too soggy again.
Until next week, have a good one and doing do anything I wouldn’t do.
(Ya, Right…)
LOL I can see Snoop playing the neighbors against you. LOL You do deserve the rest so no complaints here. That would be nice to know when they hit B@N . I hate checking there as I usually end up getting something else too. LOL
It sprinkled today, so he is on little bro’s bed having a nap.
