Yes, it is true, the rough draft of ‘Luthien Story’ is done.  I even set up a contest for people to guess at the word count of it on the event page that was, my FB page, etc., even am about to offer a prize of an arc of ‘Guardians of the Future’.   The younger generation is growing up, like a bunch of weeds.  Their parents will trim them into line.   Snicker.  Yes, I am somewhat stoked, but more lost than anything.   I promised myself a break, but am fighting to settle down.   Of course you know what that means.  Yup, working at the first edit and rewording where I think it is needed.   The books I want to read when I get this done aren’t going anywhere.  (and yes, maybe I can settle down when this is done.)

We are still freezing our assets off here, but they are promising the weather will break a week from Monday…   No, they didn’t say who or what it would break.   I would say it could be worse, and remembering the temperatures at the end of December it could be, but as it is only a couple degrees warmer it isn’t by much.   Making sure I don’t go anywhere close to anything steel that has been outside for any length of time or I will look like that little boy on ‘Christmas Story’ who had his tongue frozen to the flag pole.  Yes, sigh, it is still that cold here.  Looking up and calling “S-p-r-i-n-g” Blast but I need something more than a good furnace to keep me warm.

Yes, I know… Snoop.  And he is sitting beside me purring and tossing me kitty kisses and hugs.  He has eaten, his stomach is full, it is time to lay down for a nap.  No, not with mama… don’t bite me.  Oops, forgot, he last his teeth, don’t gum me.   Ouch, was that a claw?   Seriously, his wants are simple… nap or else.   He is an equal opportunity kitty…  he would like to be given the same time I give my manuscripts, nights don’t count.   Those belong to him anyway. 

This week is going to be easy,  first edit, formatting, and getting the cover of ‘My Darling, Janice’ underway.   That manuscript is leaving for last edit today.  Hoping to have it back for the end of April.  I am good with it if I get it before.  The sooner that is done the quicker I can move on with the following edits of ‘King’s Daughter’.  This year’s story are moving fast towards completion… boogidy, boogidy… and in a month or so from now I will get down to writing ‘First Contact’  (I already have the name for book two of the Tantalus series.  ‘Integration’.  Yes, I have the story line for that one too.

Well, this has gone on long enough, time to give a little furry body some of what he is looking for.   Following his lead.    Until next week… we will continue to freeze and hope for the world to begin to thaw.
