Back to the grind?   Well not quite.  I spent 10 sheets of paper trying to get the chapter I was working on right yesterday, finally got back into the swing of things.  Snoop was trying his best to help.  Licking at the edges of the paper, draping himself across my shoulders while I was trying to write.  Knocking the writing pad out of my hands trying to gum the end of my pen (in case you don’t know he hasn’t any teeth left, poor old pussycat).    Well anyway, you get the picture.  I guess he thought the work sucked big time too. 

The weather is not at all what we have gotten used to for winter, yes we have been spoiled over the last few years.    We have had some brutally cold temperatures.  If you include wind chill it dipped to as low as -52C … or maybe even lower for all I know, I haven’t kept that close an eye on things.   Snoop just cuddles deeper under the feather blanket that is smelling more and more of cat everyday.   (it is too windy to air it out as I don’t want to chase it all over the neighborhood.)  I guess Jay Leno said it best, the temperature in Winnipeg was colder than it was on Mars.   I hope those who have signed up to immigrate to that planet realize what they are in for, or maybe they are going to use this city in winter as a training exercise in survival. 

I am almost finished King’s Daughter and am quickly getting to the final scenes.    I believe there is only another 11,000 words to go, which means I better get the last gasp written quickly or it is going to head into overrun.   (Yes, that happens.) 

We have been getting ready for the launch of Return of the Legend, we are going to schedule the event soon, the prizes are beginning to show up (and they are gorgeous).    Things are coming together. 

So, it is back to the pen and paper for me now,  the last several chapters await, and with luck by the time the next blog comes along I will be finished the book and reworking.   (Or at least in the middle of reworking it.)  Wish me luck and stay warm.
