It’s Thanksgiving weekend

As usual, I have lists of things that need to be done. I am moving things around, sealing parts of the house to prepare for the cold weather. Getting ready to cook a turkey dinner. Straightening out the accounts and ledgers. Stuff like that. What do I want to do? Sleep. I have better things to do though. With only ten days until my next release, I need to get things finished off. I am finding that it takes more time to procrastinate than it does to get the tasks done. Sound about right?

There are other things that I need to do, some are secret though, at least for the next week or so. I keep forgetting it is October, my mind is still in September. I don’t want it to be October yet. Not looking forward to this winter at all, which they are telling us is going to be a cold one.

How are the bratz taking all of this? Tath has become a major mama’s boy. If I head towards my room, he runs into it, jumps on the bed and starts calling for me… remember Snoop? Same concept. I keep telling him, dream on. I don’t do naps, at least not often. I never used to do them at all when I was younger. Thena? That kitty can sleep anywhere, then she gets up in the middle of the night and tries to clean out the upper cupboard if she can manage to open one of the doors. She is in deep gimshee right now. She has been breaking things. Granted, I am trying to downsize, but not this way.

Writing? I am working on a short story at the moment, and have 5 chapters typed out of the ‘Phoenixes’ Rules’ book. This should tell you that I have a long way to go. I am trying to push myself, but that never works out well. I wrote out another list, (I know, I know… lists), with the names of the books I have buzzing around in my mind. 21. Honestly, I ask you… 21? Sigh.

Well, I have to get back to business here. For those who are celebrating, have a very happy Thanksgiving, for those those Thanksgiving comes later in the year… enjoy yourselves. Until next week, take care.
