I am not going to make this about the worldwide problems we are having at this time, we get enough of that on television whenever we turn it on. Instead, I am going to look forward to what we all presume will be better times.
Tomorrow is Easter Sunday, and although we won’t be able to meet with family as is normal at this time of the year, we can still be happy to know they are alive.
For those who have lost family and friends, no words can express how badly we all feel about this tragedy.
On the group page in FB, we are doing readings to help pass the time… teasing is definitely a part of what is going on, as well as the rest as per usual. Do we know what we are actually doing? Eniko might, but the rest of us are winging it. All that matters is that we are trying to keep our spirits up and hold onto our sanity.
I can’t forger, we have two professional narrators on the page, so they know what they are doing too.
We definitely cannot forget them. Tonight, one of the members will be reading a chapter, or as much of it as she is up to, from ‘Aura’.
We will see what goes on after that. A few days ago, Eniko did a reading from ‘Vengeance has a Daughter’.
(Yes, we know it is in editing and has not been released yet, but this is a closed group.)
So what am I up to while others are going through the finished manuscripts? I am writing on another. ‘Rebuilding the Empire of Light’ is coming along nicely and I am into the second half of the book. I am hoping to have it finished by the end of the month. Then I will be going to Tantalus to visit for a while there.
In the meantime, my mind is taking a trip into the past of the Elven Empire to venture into how this saga began.
I am finding that it seems like I am always behind, no matter how many I write, yet I know that there is enough set up to release another 3 books after ‘Angelika Leanne’, which is beginning to pop up everywhere for preorder.
With the distancing going on, Tath and Thena are in their nagging glory. Tath especially, has become demanding.
He spends the daylight hours nattering at me to take a nap with him. Then he naps in the evening so he can spend the night bugging me to cuddle and play according to his mood.
Thena, for all of her temperamental moods is the easier of the two.
Sit in the recliner and put your feet up, she is on you lap.
Lay down she is settled as close as she can get.
Tath is on a diet, Thena is skinny as a rail. I am still trying to figure out how to feed one without the other.
I look outside and I know it is spring. The birds are beginning to return, the snow is nearly all gone and the weather is changeable.
We can have all four seasons within hours of each other. Definitely spring.
Well, it is time I signed off. The day is getting on and I have a list of things to do, as is usual. Tomorrow I will throw a chicken into the oven, rather than the usual turkey, and then I will watch movies while I write.
Not much different from the normal there. So, from the centre of the Elven Empire I am sending you wishes for a healthy and happy Easter.
Take the time to reflect on the good things in life, even as the clouds block out the sun.
Hope we all get through this with as little pain as is possible.
Until next week take care…
Happy Easter to you and the Abraham clan.
