Alright, so I lied. I said I was only taking one month off, but I took two. Have I made any progress at all? Some. I am close to the end of young Gabriel’s story, ‘The Eagle Claw Legend’.
I will write the last two or three chapters over the weekend and type out the story next week. I do have some typed out, 10000 or so words worth, which means I have double the amount or so to get it on paper. If all goes well, I should have it reworked as well over next weekend.
So what have I been doing all of this time? Taking care of my company. We had a record January on the books and did well for February.
I have also gotten a new editor and most of the stories that are going to be released this year have been gone through. She is currently working her way through ‘The Warrior’ while my soon to be ex-editor is putting the finishing touches on ‘Angelika Leanne’. I assume the latter will be available for preorder some time in April.
I have also gotten most of the covers for all of the books to be released this year. (And some for next year.)
So what am I going to work on next? I have so many stories in my head I am having trouble tearing them apart, but I will figure things out. I am actually seriously considering putting ‘Rebuilding the Ancient Kingdom’, from the One Empire Series. The next step will be another book for the ‘Tantalus United’ Series, before I return to the ‘Guardians of the Empire’ to write ‘The Healer’ and ‘The Wildling’.
If I don’t write at least this amount, I will be falling behind.
Sigh. Always behind.
These will mostly be 2022 releases and 2023 releases, I need to get something new out there for existing series.
What else is going on in my mind? I have already announced a new series to come up in the future in my readers group. It has to do with the Ancients the Elves in the Elven Chronicles keep talking about. Should be interesting. In the meantime, I need to get book 3 written in the ‘Drakaina Series’ and hopefully it won’t be as big as book one was.
Book two is short. I assume all of this will take its place as I begin to hit the pen again, because it usually does.
How are the bratz, you ask? The people in the vet’s office have figured a way to control Thena enough to cut her nails.
Oh, she still hisses at them if they try to touch her.
But she is so high from pain meds that this is about the extent of it.
No more biting, scratching and wreaking havoc on all of us anymore just because she is in the building or the vet wants to place her stethoscope on her. Tath? He takes it like a pussycat.
You can run me through the procedure, but I want cuddles after.
If Thena is in the way of his TLC, she pays the price, although he does often suffer the consequences.
(She can be such a terror). Do I spoil them? They came pre-spoiled. That is my story and I am sticking to it.
Anyway, it is the time to turn your clock ahead this weekend, so don’t forget, like I usually do. Until next weekend, take care.
