It could have been a wild ride last night with all the reports telling us to watch for a violent storm. It took the hydro away from us a couple of times, but was quick.
We got lucky. Thoughts of flying shingles and the bills that come with that type of thing came with it, then left when the wind died and we were left with a yard of puddles.
At this time of the year anything is possible and I can remember times when it would be hot throughout the day, then we would get hail and rain in the evening. Luckily things like this doesn’t happen all the time and unluckily for some, they can get a lot worse.
I sure hope it doesn’t happen this year.
Thena and Tath took everything in stride. They watched me run around the house setting up candles and filling the lamps with oil, just in case.
Neither were needed much in the end. What did the bratz do?
What was expected, they went to bed and waited for me to arrive. Of course this also meant they were bright eyed and bushy tailed at 5am and wanted to romp with me… not happening cats.
I wanted nothing more than to sleep.
As some of you already know, ‘Final Contact’ has gone through edits and is now in Becca’s hands for formatting. She will tend to this at her first chance.
In the meantime, Sarah is working on ‘Equals’. Eniko finished the main edits on ‘Angelika Leanne’, which put it into Candice’s hands for the next round after I finished making changes.
Eniko is now looking at ‘The Priestess’ and will work on ‘The Warrior’ after. What am I doing? I am writing on ‘The Tratchar’ now and have done a couple of chapters this week. I don’t feel an urge to push at it, but that will come when I begin to type out the story. At this point, I have over 100 pages to type out from the written work. I am guessing this will put me close to the half way mark and there is a lot more to add to it before I begin ‘The General’ (That one is over a third written already.)
I also began another project that will not be named and hope to have it finished before the end of summer, or at the latest before October. I then have a choice to write one of 3 different books after that to finish the year… question is, which one? Do I return to the Elven Empire and follow the ancients into their Kingdom, or do I return to Tantalus? Or do I do something else?
I probably will know when the time comes.
Other than this, I have been doing cleaning and downsizing of different areas in the yard, especially my office. I know what you are thinking, and no, I am unable to sit still for long at a time. This in mind, I do things in spurts, after all, if I don’t move, I will seize up.
With this in mind it is time to move off again… so, until next weekend, take care and have a good summer.
Working on Tyndal now 😉 since my mind is still in that world.
Glad the storm didn’t get worse last night.
I am glad it didn’t get worse too. Hope you are enjoying Tyndal.
