It is Saturday once again, and it is a cold one in central Canada. The best part of winter has become the fact that every day you live through is one closer to spring.
Isn’t it crazy that in our older years we seem to have either gotten cranky or become a wuss, depending how you look at it. Winter is too cold, summer too hot. Thank heavens for furnaces and air conditioners.
This is the weekend of brothers having birthdays. There are 2 of them running around looking grumpy about it now.
That is another think, when we are young, we look forward to getting older… how life tends to reverse our way of thinking … and the Fates are probably giggling about it over tea, coffee or wine, depending how you think about this.
After all, time is not supposed to affect them.
I am also supposed to be getting the final edits for ‘Standing in the Light’, I hope you liked the reveal we did on the cover, and I will repost it here. Cora does such good work. When Becca is able to settle down for more than a few moments at a time without getting into more pain, she will be formatting ‘The Princess’ so the preorders are made available.
She fell on the ice more than once this year and is suffering, no, winter has not been nice to her either. ‘Standing in the Light’ will be available for formatting, but I doubt if it will go up before the first week of March or so, because it isn’t going to be released until the end of May.
The pussycats, as you can well imagine, have been quiet in all this cold weather. They haven’t even been chasing each other much either.
All they seem to want to do is be held or to find a warm blanket to huddle under.
Or a hot air register to hug.
As far as the writing is concerned, the rough manuscripts for ‘Hidden Treasures’ and ‘An Elven Love Song’ are done, and I am in the middle of the reworking process at this time. This should be finished within the next few days. They are each very short stories (novellas). After they go into the editing pile, I will continue writing ‘The Warrior’. The two elves in the story don’t know what they are letting themselves in for.
At any rate, it is time I got back to work here, so letting everyone go for another week… Hope you have a good one. (It is going to be cold here.)
Stay warm and enjoy your weekend. Nice the Dynamic Duo isn’t pestering you too much. 🙂
