The weather has been living up to my name for the season. Yes, I don’t call this fall, although that name is appropriate because of the amount of leaves on the ground.
I call it transition season, same as spring. This is mainly because we are changing from being warm to becoming cold, or the other way around, as the case may be.
I actually love the temperate weather, but nothing to do with ice. I am past that time in my life when a slide down things excites me… not sure when that happened, but it was a while ago.
Probably when I went for a fly the last time and ended up butt first on the ramp with one of the railing posts that kept me from going over the edge between my legs.
True, it could have been much worse.
There is a mail strike going on right now and, although I have sent out my Christmas cards, I can’t help but wonder whether they will be going out, or how many will be coming back because they got temporarily lost. I am still questioning whether the one parcel I sent almost 2 weeks ago will reach the other end. I certainly hope so.
How are the Bratz taking this weather? Tath won’t go near any door that shows signs of being cold on the other side, and he remembers which ones those are.
Thena? She is a little braver, but finding out that her feet get cold very fast.
That means when she goes into the unheated porch, she is fast to return to the main house. She will still try though.
Snoop used to keep his distance from either end of the house as the first snowflake fell. He wasn’t anyone’s stooge and he was a heat worshipper.
How are the books coming? I am getting hints that I should have edits coming at me soon. Sarah is close to handing back ‘Spirit of the Light’. Candy is close to finishing ‘The Princess’, which will then go to Sarah. Eniko is close to finishing off ‘Equals’, which will then go to Candy, and she will begin ‘Standing in the Light’.
I am working on 3, ‘An Elven Love Song’, which isn’t that far from being finished, it is a novella. ‘The Priestess’, which took a while for me to get into but is moving quickly now. And, another that I am not talking much about but have called, ‘Hidden Treasures’.
I am seeing how long the ink in this refill lasts before I have to change it. It has been changing colour off and off for a few chapters already. Usually they don’t last this long.
Well, this has gone on long enough. It is Thanksgiving down South of us and I should let everyone get ready to celebrate. Have a great one everybody, until next week, enjoy your time with friends and family.
