There are several things looming in the next very short while. What I really need is sleep, which is being denied to me by 2 rambunctious pussycats.
Yes, you guessed it, Tath and Thena.
I don’t know which one is leading the pack, but when this cooking/baking binge is over, I am going to find a way to tire them out during the day so they sleep at night.
Lately, they have gotten into the habit of waking between 3 & 4, then playing until after 7.
By playing I mean bouncing all over the bed, rolling, frolicking and racing … Of course you know who is the bouncing board. They are happy kitties, unless I need to go into the city to do some shopping or for an appointment of some sort.
It makes me wonder what bro #3 is going to do with them when I am at ITSAE in London in 2 weeks.
Yes, I will be on the plane in less than 2 weeks, heading for Eniko’s for the book signing and, rumour has it that some of my friends/readers, will be joining us at the event. I am excited about this. The one thing I am not happy about is that the flight I had booked to get home on has been cancelled.
I am scrambling to find another. This is so unfair.
To get a good idea of how close I am to knowing what I am taking or not, I have weighed my suitcase and know I have 10 pounds available in it.
I also understand I should pack a jacket.
We are going to have warm weather here this weekend, but the forecast is for cooler temperatures next week. I have to admit, there is a definite feel of fall in the air.
The geese are beginning to gather and build up their stamina for the flight South where it will be warmer. They aren’t getting too serious with their formations yet, I haven’t seen any Vs out there, but that can take form quickly.
I have to admit, I am not looking forward to winter this year.
You will be wondering how the books are coming in edits. Well. Marie has begun ‘Dream Warriors’, and then she will be finished her lineup. Eniko is working on ‘The Princess’, but she has a lot on her plate besides edits.
She also has ‘Equals’ waiting for her, as well as ‘Angelika Leanne’, ‘Standing in the Light’, ‘Tyndal’ and, upcoming, ‘Dream Warriors’.
(Most of these are shorter stories and don’t take long.)
Candy is working on ‘People of the Pheonix’.
Sarah has ‘Hidden Kingdoms’ and ‘Final Contact’.
Betty and Becca are waiting for their turns.
It seems that the release times for them come at a person so fast, before you know it the finished manuscript is due, but you are not ready. Working to remedy that.
Well, this is enough, time to get into the kitchen and make that stew and those loaves of banana bread. The house is going to smell soooo good.
Until next week, have a good one.
Such a busy bee and am jealous of all your cooking and baking. Still too warm here to put oven on. Enjoy your weekend. Hugs
I remember the joy of midnight high jinx of the furry sort…until I trained my bundles of furry love & joy that when the lights went out & the covers were situated they needed to find their favored spot on & around me to settle (with no attacking & bouncing on my toes, lol & owwwwie!!! especially if I hadn’t clipped their claws, YIKES!) Good travels to you hope you enjoy London…had a great time there when I lived in Oxford…will be able to do any other traveling about while you are there…?
