It is definitely spring.  The trees are in full bud, the apple tree is about to burst into bloom and the grass is sprouting.  None is happening too fast, because there is a shortage of water, which means there is also a burn ban going on.  There isn’t a whole lot of rain in the forecast either, but I am sure it will come, although I would rather it didn’t come all at the same time. 

It is Mother’s Day this weekend. So, for all the mothers of the world, I hope you have a happy weekend and enjoy your families.  I am already hearing about people getting their gifts and flowers.  I will celebrate by putting up the first Chapter of ‘Teryka Rose’ this year. 

How are the bratz doing, you ask?   Right now they are in bed, napping.  They need rest, mainly because they kept me up for most of the night.   (Mostly the Tath Cat.)  He has taken to running about for half the day and a good portion of the night.  I wake to find the living room trashed.  I have been warning him too.  Thena?  Don’t worry about her, she doesn’t get left out.  I have been noticing that the objections that comes out of her don’t really always mean she is getting the fussy end of the lollipop.  She is like an older sister that doesn’t want to be bothered by a younger brother, unless she takes the initiative and attacks him first.  You gotta know that if he pounces on her, she is going to have lots to say, but if it is the other way around, that is fair play.  Typical.

So, updating the progress report here, ‘Final Contact’ is waiting in the wings for Sarah to finish with ‘Teryka Rose’.   That one should be coming back any time, I know it is an old story, but it is true.  Eniko is working on ‘Hidden Kingdoms’, but hasn’t been making much progress because of migraines, she is hoping to be able to get time for more of it soon.  I am reworking ‘Equals’, which I will do twice because I did a major rewrite on it.  ‘The Princess’ is in the preliminary edit with ‘Marie’.  Both ‘Spirit of the Light’ and ‘People of the Phoenix’ is waiting in the wings for ‘Hidden Kingdoms’ to be finished.  I should be able to finish off ‘Equals’ by the end of the month, so I can begin on ‘Angelika Leanne’ in May. 

Next weekend I am going to be busy, mainly because it is a long weekend and little bro is coming.  That is always a frantic time.  He usually tries to fit in weeks of doing things into days.  I am already making plans, although few of them have to do with anything he wants to accomplish.  Mainly, they have to do with things I need to get done to make the time enjoyable as possible. 

Well, it is time to toddle off already.  I will be back next week with an update, and perhaps news of progress, as I am getting ideas for series that I shouldn’t be having with the list that currently exists.  But, you don’t want to hear about that…  so once more, wishing all mothers a Happy Mother’s Day.
