It was payback time, as far as Thena was concerned yesterday. Yup, Tath has been a green eyed monster for long enough and it was her turn to take center stage. He has been attacking her the moment they were out of my sight and boy can she scream when he bites her on the butt. At any rate, I was roughing her up first thing in the morning and she was thoroughly enjoying herself, when he decided to pounce. Not this time buddy. This is my time… I could just hear her thoughts, she was that clear about why she was acting. She boogalooed all over him. She might weigh 3 pounds less than he does, but she can be a vicious little trojan. After the fourth attack, yes he was daring her, he decided it was safer off the bed than on. A half an hour after we got out of the bed, they were chasing each other from one end of the house to the other… over furniture, across floors… you get the idea. It was play time. To be fair, he hasn’t chomped down on her fur for a few days now.
How are things going otherwise, you ask? Well, Sarah says she is close to being finished with the edits for ‘Teryka Rose’, which means that when I am finished with it, it will go into final proofread. Eniko is currently working on ‘Hidden Kingdoms’, while Candy is going through ‘Final contact’. I am working my way towards the 3/4 mark of ‘The Princess’, which means I have approximately another 15 chapters to go before the end. I am way behind on my typing, with 9 chapters written that need to be added to the file. I will probably have another done to add to that number by the end of today. I think I will start to type again on Monday.
It is that time of the year when we get swamped with safeties, which generally means that people are preparing to hit their fields to do the spring planting. This is an indication that spring is here, although no one was pleased with the snow that fell the other night. It is gone, not all of it, but what fell is. The weather is supposed to warm up, they keep promising these things but never delivering.
How are things shaping up for the book signings I will be at this year, you wonder? I sent several packages to Eniko with my brother and they met up the other evening to make the exchange. He is bringing me things that I sent to Kay’s in the US, he stopped there too. I am planning to send some stuff to somewhere else to get them taken care of, which should be a challenge, because what I am sending is glass. We will see how that works out. Eniko has also been receiving stuff in the mail, as well as by courier, but that should end before much longer.
Well, it is quiet in the house right now, which makes me very suspicious. I know I shouldn’t be that way… it could mean that they bratz are laying in front of the hot air register, soaking up the heat. But the likelihood is small. They are, after all, my bratz. With that in mind, I am going to leave you until next week at the same time.
