It has finally decided to warm up, but it is nothing like the weather I am hearing about around the country. I can’t believe some of those numbers! I know it gets hot in places, but wow is it ever heating up, and this isn’t even the middle of summer yet. It makes people in different places wish for winter. Well, maybe not, but I guess that would depend on how low that would go. I hope that things get better though, rain would help in the stricken areas, I am sure. It is very sad to hear about the devastation caused by the fires.

On a positive note, I am slowly making progress on ‘Final Contact’. I have gotten as far as Chapter IX, which I will probably be writing throughout the day. I have finished edits on ‘The Goddess’ and Becca says she will be doing the formatting sometime next week. That is also none too soon, as RTC Ottawa is around the corner and I would like to be able to take a copy with me. I will be waiting to put my last order in along with it. This isn’t the only book in Becca’s formatting pile, there are two others, with two more to follow shortly. It will be several months before more will be forthcoming, because I have been holding back on one, ‘Teryka Rose’. Eniko will not be seeing that one until after we are finished with RTC Ottawa.

I was asked if I have begun packing for the trip at the end of the month, in truth, I have to ask why when there is still 3 weeks left in July. Granted, it will go quickly, but still, it isn’t as if there is only days. I am more concerned with getting the books in line and finishing off the edits that are pending. I have to keep my priorities straight. Right?

I also have to remember that I have to go to pick up cat food today, or I will have 2 hungry pussycats tomorrow. Yes, they are at the end of their food, again. If I mess up on this I will awaken to find them gnawing on one of my legs in the morning. Tath also has a sore on the very end of his nose, which may or not have been caused by a Thena girl. Then again, he could have done it to himself, not sure about either. Yes, their claws need clipping, and no one is brave enough to try, especially with Thena. She is a mini terrorist when it comes to getting her nails trimmed.
