I am close to being finished writing ‘Teryka Rose’, and will probably be finished rewriting the rough manuscript by the end of the week. Cough, well, maybe by the fifteenth.
We will see what happens.
I keep saying I want to have ‘Hidden Kingdoms’ done before RTC Ottawa at the beginning of August, but we all know that wanting isn’t getting.
I would like to think I will get a break between that one and ‘Final contact’. I plan on beginning that book in September, whether I get a break or not.
We had a summer storm last evening, one that I thought the kitties would come running to me because of, but that didn’t happen. Instead, they frolicked, which meant they slept in this morning… worked for me.
I see signs of power outages in most of the appliances this morning… running around resetting clocks everywhere in the house.
There have been so many of those in the last six months that I don’t bother matching the clocks any more. People walk into the kitchen, where there are 3 clocks, and notice that none of them match.
Usually when they ask about that, I grin and say that it is to keep them guessing.
They usually smile back.
You are undoubtedly wondering about Thena and Tath. Well, Thena seems to be reacting well to her allergy treatments.
Tath is turning into a proverbial lazy Tomcat.
I have to admit, that for all that there are two of them, they don’t seem to get into as much as Snoop used to, either that or they don’t have as much character.
I can’t figure this out. Thena gets into plenty, but it isn’t as original.
Tath, although he is coming out of his shyness, he tends to fall into the lazy Tomcat slot and go about his own way.
He isn’t a tease, the same way as Snoop was, but I still wouldn’t want to corner him if he wasn’t in the mood for it, or was a stranger.
Snoop was more, shall we say it, civilized.
As far as demanding goes, I think he is Snoop’s equal, and that is saying al lot.
How are things progressing, you ask. In another week, Cora will begin to work on the covers for ‘The Priestess’, and yes, I know this is far in advance.
Eniko is working on editing the manuscript for ‘The Goddess’.
Sarah, says that I should have ‘The Phoenixes Choice’ back shortly.
Becca is waiting for more to come into her file, and then I have a feeling she is going to do several bouts of formatting all at once. That should keep her busy for a few hours. I will give her credit, she is fast and efficient.
I am going to make this short this time, I have a full day planned, and it has nothing to do with the gorgeous weather outside. It is going to be a hot one, and I know others will want to get out and enjoy it as well.
Enjoy it while you can, because the cold weather comes at us all to soon.
Yes, I know about the too hot, too cold bits… I complain about it like everyone else.
So, until next week, enjoy our pre-summer weather and be good.
Sounds like the Dynamic Duo are their usual selves 🙂 Your writing is coming along so well, hope you get to have some down time and maybe get some of your reading done. Enjoy your weekend. It’s going to be HOT here for the next week!! Summer has arrived in Arizona!!
We haven’t got the heat here yet like you have
