You can tell things are changing. To begin with, the sun is beginning to announce its arrival well before seven A.M., and no, I am not ready to get up yet.
Not when the bratz have been playing with their pompoms and imitation mice in bed half the night.
You can also tell that I have guests in the house this weekend, as Thena and Tath hide in my room, and slink around when they think no one notices.
Little turkeys. Last thing I need is Thena growling at me in the middle of the night because I moved her out of Tath’s spot.
I know my kitties… I know what will happen if she stays there… even less sleep, as Tath gives her a lesson in decorum.
To be fair to him, you must realize that if he doesn’t hold his ground, she will push him out of the bed altogether.
He only puts up with attitude from her for so long.
He won’t hurt her, but he will show her who is boss.
Her.
It has been a frantic week with the release of ‘Kings of the Empire’ and the cover releases for two upcoming books. Granted, they won’t be available until into 2018, but the covers are done.
The rough draft for ‘The Phoenixes Choice’, is already in edits.
It will release in spring of next year.
The manuscript for ‘The Goddess’ is approximately at the halfway point, and I have a lot of typing to do again.
‘The Goddess’ will release in February of 2018, and is the first of a series of 12 novels about the Elves who were chosen to be Guardians of the Empire.
‘The Phoenixes Choice’ will release April/May 2018.
Cora Graphics did the covers, and I am very pleased with the results. I am hoping to finish the manuscript for ‘The Goddess’ some time in the beginning of March, and then go straight into writing ‘Teryka Rose’, book 2 or the ‘Daughters of the Valley’ trilogy.
This week was filled with Facebook events, releases, plans for RTC Ottawa (which seems to be coming at me faster than I care to think about at the moment). It would have been easier to handle, if the furry monsters would settle down and sleep at night instead of using me for a trampoline.
Granted, I did get a couple of unplanned chapters written on ‘The Goddess’ because of it. But, during daylight hours, I have turned into a zombie.
No matter, I think most of us had a good time. Maybe not as good as Thena and Tath, but hey, whatever works, right?
Next week they will settle down.
Well, it is time to get back to work. It is a long weekend here, and my niece has come down to spend time here with her baby.
We are going to make a couple different types of soups. Should be interesting. Other than that, maybe I can sneak in some sleep, or at least another couple chapters on ‘The Goddess’.
Until next weekend, be good, and if anyone has some spare rope that is recommended for tying up furry night critters, let me know.
Have a good one everyone.
Hopefully things start to settle down now, at least a little bit for the Bratz at least😉
There is only the 3 of us up at the moment, so they are chasing each other from one end of the house to the other. That will change shortly.
The little stinkers. You love them though and so do we. Sounds like everything is moving right along book wise and the covers are gorgeous. Take many breaks when you start typig again.
Had a grand time at the event!! Leave it to the Dynamo Duo – but you love them anyway no matter what they do. Loved the cover reveals-the covers are just gorgeous! Wow, you are going to have a lot of typing again-just take it slow and easy!! Enjoy the rest of the weekend and enjoy your soup making! 🙂
Thanks for the fun event, please share any successful soup recipes!
