The weather outside is great, especially for this time of the year. We know what is going on, but don’t care.
We will love these temperatures for as long as they stick around.
In this part of Canada, each day without cold or snow is one less that you have to put up with until spring.
That said, don’t get the idea that I don’t like winter, because I do.
I just don’t like the driving conditions that often comes with the season.
It is no fun to have to drive on glare ice, or blowing snow that reduces your visibility.
Then again, it can make you nervous to trust an older vehicle to weather that exceeds -40, even new ones can fail at times like that.
Yes, I know, I have trust issues, but this is my butt we are talking about freezing here.
No matter, the point is, this next week is going to be sweater weather and I am loving that.
Halloween came, and went, and wreaked its damage. I broke a tooth, and lost a filling that evening.
Talk about your witching hour gift.
Sigh. So, I have been to the dentist, and she will fix it on the 25th of this month.
I can’t tell you how much I am looking forward to this, not.
What is it about dentists that make a person’s spirit cringe.
Even people, who are amongst the bravest you know, turn pale when you mention the word, dentist.
They are helping, right?
Yet, we have labeled them with a reputation that makes the strongest of us break out in a sweat at night.
I won’t be one of those.
All right, I know, you don’t have to laugh so hard. Sheesh. It was only a little fib.
I have been doing my best to keep my short furry friends busy at night. They bring their pompoms, and their stuffed puppies, to ask politely for me to throw them, so they can chase them.
I comply, because the alternative is slightly more painful.
I know, people might think I am maligning them, but that is the truth of the situation.
I wouldn’t complain, if the puncture marks allowed the fat cells to ooze out of my body, but it doesn’t.
Therefore, I gripe away, while they bounce on the bed and frolic.
One of us might as well have fun.
(Alright, make that two, although with the way Thena screams at times, it doesn’t sound much like they are having a good time.)
She then gets up and attacks Tath, which means she was trying to disqualify him for roughness, or get him berated for being a meanie.
Yes, her tactics are very effective, I can’t count how many times he has been called a bully, and told to take it easy on the pussycat.
Probably about the same number of times I used to tell her the same thing when he was half her weight and she used to trounce him.
Payback can be something else at times.
Well, November is Nanowrimo month. That means that those who feel up to the challenge do their best to see if they can write 50,000 words of a story, any story, in this month.
I am currently over the 10,000 mark, although I haven’t registered in the program.
I am watching to see how others do, and going along at my own speed. At this rate, I will be finished ‘The Phoenixes Choice’, and I will write ‘The Siren Connection’, before the end of the month.
That will take care of a few of the titles that I have down for the 2018 release schedule.
That will also give me December to do the rewrites on the manuscripts, as well as read.
I am insisting that I begin ‘The Goddess’ in January.
Unless, Eniko is being attacked by another migraine, she may start the edits on ‘Merika’s Story’ this weekend, which will leave her with ‘Lost Kingdoms of the Empire’ in her edits file. And the question there looms, will she finish before I get ‘The Phoenixes Choice’ done?
No matter what happens, it is going to be a great looking week, and I have a lot to look forward to, especially the root canal on the 25th. I know, there was no talk about a root canal, but I had to say it, if only to see everyone cringe.
On that note, I better go check on the two streaks in the other room, they just tore past the entrance to this room like a couple of rabbits being chased by a coyote.
Until next week, have a great one, and we will see what other trouble I can find to get into in the meantime.
Leave it to the Dynamic Duo – at it again. 🙂 I feel for you going to the dentist-I LOATHE going to the dentist-guess we all have some sort of fear of them. Your writing is coming along so nicely and it will be nice for you to be able to do some reading again. Enjoy your nice weather while you can. Have a good weekend.
Root canal EEEEEK dentist BLEH
Stopped in to get my giggles, I am on a roll purging the house and rearranging furniture. I’ll breathe a sigh of relief when is done, although I don’t stand a chance of finishing this weekend. I wil be relaxing tonight with Merika 😉 THANKS FOR THE GIGGLES you make my day easier XOXO
Thanks for my laugh this mornibg but did you have to mention Root Canal. BRRRRRR shaking here.
