All of us are doing just that, as a matter of fact and by that, I mean the cats too.  I leave the house, Thena meows, I am gone for more than an hour, Tath joins in.  Between the two of them, I understand that they drove everyone out of the house, at least those who had come to keep them company while I was gone… I mean, give me a break, I have things to take care of too. 

 

To make a long story short, my television, which is only 1 ½ years old, has been giving me grief, and for a good reason, I am going to say thank you for extended warranty.  I called in to report that the tv was being a pita.  They showed up, ran a few tests, and took it away to the shop.  2 days later, they brought it back, the TV has too many things to fix, I am supposed to go to a dealer and choose a new one.  Well, alright, whatever works. So, they are going to be delivering a brand new 55” 4K Samsung T V sometime on Tuesday.  I hope they set it up, because I don’t know what I am doing here.  I am going to assume that they will.

 

I am also expecting another book shipment, either Monday or Tuesday.  This is UPS so I will assume it will be coming Tuesday.  There are other things we are doing as well.  The jobs don’t seem to end this year.  To be fair, it is that time of the year.  I used to get even busier at this time in the past, but I wasn’t writing like I do now, then. 

 

I also had some interesting news, when I opened up my emails yesterday.  I have made the finals in 3 different categories of a contest.  Best Fantasy Author, Best Fantasy book (Into the Demons Lair) & Best Fantasy Series.  I was blown away. It was the last thing I expected, and I am honored to be in the running at this stage.  Wish me luck. I am grateful to all those who have voted for me.

 

I finished the novella, Lost Kingdoms of the Empire… .5 of EC: One Empire Series.  Now, I am trying to gather myself together to continue to write The Phoenixes Choice.  I am on Chapter VIII.  Before I start, I have company coming, and I must say it is about time they came for a visit.  It has been over a year and a half since they were here last, but that is alright, they have good reasons.

 

I know what is going to happen when they come into the house.  Thena will run around in circles, while Tath goes into hiding.  Somehow, I have to get that cat out of his shy stage.

 

The release lineup for next year has been taken care of, now that Lost Kingdoms has been written.  I don’t mean that the edits are done, but the rough manuscripts have been sent onwards into editing.  Eniko is working on Merika’s Story (I think) and Sarah started on Intercession.  I am still hoping to finish The Phoenixes Choice sometime before Christmas.  If I can do that, I will be back on time, with The Goddess and Teryka Rose waiting in the wings to my attention during the winter season.  I have to do something, right?  I also have 5 sets of cookies that I want to make to send away with little bro when he visits at Christmas. 

 

When I think of it, Halloween isn’t that far away either,  which means the end of the year is coming at us fast. It is time for me to check to see if I have all my Christmas shopping done.  Something tells me, no.   That is a word I don’t want to hear at this time.   Well, it is time I trotted off. Tath and Thena are waiting for some attention, it has been a whole 20 min. since they were told to get off the cupboards in the kitchen.     In a couple of hours I will have people at my door, and I am not ready.  I have a couple of floors to swiffer.   Not worried about much else, as the kitties will make sure that if I have things set things into order, they will knock it off kilter.  Until next week, have a good one.
