You know the type I am talking about. Monday was supposed to be a trip to the vet with Thena and Tath, routine checkover… but someone forgot to put an extra one in front of the time, and got a call from the vet instead.
Still not sure who that was.
Tuesday was a routine check with the family Dr., who prescribed a special cream for my shoulder joint – yes, it hurts.
Wednesday, the Geek Squad showed up on schedule and took away my TV.
I got a phone call a couple hours later saying it was trash… thank heavens for extended warrantees.
Waiting to hear when the new one will be coming, or if I have to take this one in for exchange.
In the meantime, it is sitting on the floor in the middle of my living room, and the cats are using its stand as a new toy.
(Sounds about right). I need to clean that living room, it is looking decidedly lived in.
I am typing out, slowly because of the sore shoulder, Lost Kingdoms of the Empire. It is over the 21000 word count, with 2 more chapters to type out and another to write before it is finished.
Hoping to have it done before the long weekend is over, and then I will take care of the reworking phase, before tossing it into the edits pile.
I will then continue on with The Phoenixes Choice, which is evolving quite nicely in the back of my mind..
. Still hoping to have that one done by December and I hope that is the case.
I am beginning to get newsletters from RTC Ottawa for next year, and the reality is setting in rather heavily that this is actually going to happen. Yes, I have resigned myself to the fact that I will be spending a weekend in our Capital next year, signing books.
Still not sure how that will turn out, but then, does anyone?
I turned on the news a couple days ago, to see how the people in the path of the hurricane were faring, and what are they showing? Snow. I shuddered.
Even worse, it is within a 4 hour drive from where I live, and the leaves began to fall faster outside because the wind is so cold.
Thena and Tath are huddled in front of the warm air register. They are not about to freeze their fur off, even when I shut the furnace down for the night.
They are under the feather blanket snuggled against me. Reminder to self… set feather blanket outside to air out, it is smelling like cat.
This is out Thanksgiving long weekend, not that I am doing anything with it. I cooked the turkey last weekend, when little bro came home for the weekend.
This weekend I will do other things. My Christmas card list has been seen to, and all the Snoopy cards I plan on sending out have been addressed and put into neat little piles. (well, until the cats get at them.)
Neat little piles are not allowable, unless they make them.
I also got the poster for Serenity this week, and it is gorgeous, another winning piece from Cora. The cover for Beyond the Myth came through proofing perfectly, and the books are all up for preorder.
The copies are in production, and I am hoping to have them by next weekend.
All in all, things are taking their place. Now to get my life into some semblance of order.
With that in mind, I will toddle off, and to make sure I don’t lose track of the fact that this is Thanksgiving, I will bake one of the Turkey pot pies I made out of the left overs from the turkey we cooked last week.
Until next Saturday, have a good one.
It is never boring at your house, same like mine LOL
Happy Thanksgiving to you and Clan Abraham XOXO
