Yes, it is common knowledge that jealousy is really bad for you.  In this case it is really bad for Thena, not that she is the one who is jealous,  that would be Tath.  The little green eyed monster (technically blue) is really difficult to live with for her at times.  Especially when I am trying to sleep and she unconsciously squirms into his territory, or he decides that she has had more than her fair share of cuddles and he deserves more.   I never knew a cat could swat so hard, he had a fair ‘one, two punch to him’.   Thena could tell you more about that though, as he teaches her the facts of life.  #1. If mama yelps because you were careful with your claws… you are in trouble.  If you infringe on his territory in bed… look out.  If you spend too much time in what he figures, his zone, you are toast.  Now, to be fair, Thena can hold her own and often asks for it.  There is nothing like pouncing on a sleeping tomcat without warning.  She knows better than to jump on top of him and lay down while I am holding him in my arms… you have any idea how heavy two pussycats can be?  Oy.  Oh yes, and Tath as acquire one of Snoop’s old habits somehow, sitting on the bed and yelling for mom…  So not happing pussycat, as I used to say to Snoop.  

This week I put Hunter’s Challenge and Kings of the Empire behind me.  The printers say I should have my copies at the end of the week, but I have my doubts.  I am thinking the week after.  We will see who is right.  I am going to go through the first chapter I wrote of Teryka Rose, and then send it off for a quick set of edits.  I will need it for the back of the paperback copy of Merika’s Story. I will then begin to type on The Phoenixes Choice, which is a whole different matter.   I must be either sleep deprived, or dreaming heavily, because I could have sworn I typed out those first 3 chapters.  Yet, there is no record on my computer of my ever doing so.  Sigh.  That means I have 5 chapters minimum to type out.  It will get done, but not too soon.  My fingers are sore. (Yes, another story.) 

The apples on my tree are ready, and boy are there a lot of them… So, I made apple pies and froze them, and apple sauce and froze that.   After 3 days of peeling and all the rest, my fingers are feeling it.   Granted, I know there are machines that do all this with minimum effort, but I can’t see the sense of buying one in my case, as I don’t do enough of that type of thing.  BTW, you know anyone who could use some apples? 

Next week I plan on getting serious about writing on The Phoenixes Choice, with the idea that I can finish it by Halloween.  Wish me luck.  I figure that if I am able to get that done I may have time to fit in Lost Kingdoms of the Empire, and maybe even The Siren Connection, before the end of the year, those 2 are shorts and don’t take as long.   In 2 weeks from now, we should be putting the last of ‘Beyond the Myth’ to bed, as that is when the cover is supposed to come in.    That will put another behind me.    If I can do that, I will be working on my 2018 schedule after.  Should be interesting.  I am holding to the idea of doing ‘The Goddess’ over the winter, and if that works out, possibly being able to knock off ‘Teryka Rose’ by spring.  That would have me racing to write ‘Celebration of Peace’ before I go to Ottawa for RTC Ottawa next August.  Nothing like a schedule to keep you hopping, speaking of which, I am sure you have all noticed my upcoming release list.  Becca has finished with the new website, and I think it is great, hope you do as well.  So, on that note, it is time for this person to begin to work on her to do list for the day.  Until next week, have a good one, and enjoy what looks like a very nice fall day outside.
