For the moment the duo are pretty tame. It has been cold over the last few days and they are sticking close to the hot air registers.
They have also laid claim to the feather blanket that I want to tack back into the cover that I washed..
. Oh yes, they laid claim to that I still say is mine.
If I head for it, when they aren’t on it, they race to lay on it.
Same as they do to my bed, when I enter my room, except there isn’t the same look of expectation with them outside of my room.
I am making progress, slowly. I did manage to get almost 2 books read this week, but there were constant interruptions.
Mumbling to self, no wonder things take so long here.
If I sit down they either take turns laying on top of me, or they both weigh me down.
A person would think they are starved for attention, (You know who I mean).
To be on the fair said, Tath’s Pterodactyl isn’t getting mauled as much… poor thing is only a month old and barely has wings anymore.
Oh, BTW, if you think this cold weather has slowed them down, nope, still have the Indianapolis raceway in the house.
(except it sounds more like the derby being ran).
Kings of the Empire is now in Eniko’s hands, and it is huge. (over 137000 words). I am taking a break this month to read, if I get enough chance to do so successfully.
I placed a boatload of physical books on top one of my dressers in my room and am hoping for the best.
In the meantime, Eniko and Becca got together and designed the covers for Volume 2 of the Short Stories..
. Oh yes, the series is definitely showing signs of coming to the end…
. that is the end of the short stories, and the last book has been written. The pb for the short stories has progressed into the proofing stage, and Becca will see it on Tuesday.
The editing staff is anxious to get to it, for no other reason that they get to read it first.
Cora has the cover done, and I noticed that she has a cover that is perfect for another book I have in mind. (imagine that!)
It will be 2 years before there is room in my schedule to release it.
(When did I get that busy?)
I have other jobs to do, and I am trying to force myself to do them. I sit here and think, if you don’t do that, no one else will.
Sighing heavily.
When that pile of books is read, I will start to write Intercession.
I will follow that up with The Phoenixes Choice and Lost Kingdoms of the Empire.
I am definitely gaining ground there, and my editing team is doing an awesome job, can’t believe how fast some of this gets done sometimes.
Morganna still has Hunter’s Challenge, and Sarah is going through Beyond the Myth, but this is going quickly too.
There will be a shake up in the editing team, because Morganna will be leaving for a while soon, but I am sure that won’t be forever.
Anyway, time to make up a todo list for the day, finish reading #2 book and grab another, those don’t go on the todo list. That list has 15 items that needs to do each day, sometimes they get done, sometimes they don’t, most of the time they do, if there aren’t too many interruptions.
.. you know what they say though, a change is as good as a rest.
Hoping that everyone is enjoying their weekend.
I am heading off here to do what needs to be done.
Have a good one.
I am glad that finally you are taking a well deserved break HUGS Happy reading!
Now I am getting busy YAY
LOL The bratz certainly lay claim to what they want huh? LOL Hoping and praying all goes well for Morgana and that she will be back soon. Hate to see your team interrupted when all has been going so well. Love the blog.
Yay, so happy you are getting to do some reading again and sounds like you have a few to get through. You deserve this rest time as things are just moving on so smoothly. LOL. so the Dynamic Duo doesn’t want to share the blanket-shame on you two, Mom needs it too! Enjoy your week end and Happy Reading and loved the blog!
