I have always wondered who was the top cat, Tath, or Thena. I had a feeling that it was Thena, because she is so tenacious,
but Tath is no slouch when it comes to holding his own, because he is a little powerhouse.
Last night things were brought to a head, when Thena hurt mama with her nails, and Tath took a round out of her because if it.
.. he is soooo subtle about how he does this that you don’t even know he did it most of the time.
This wasn’t the case last night, when I yiped, and he immediately laid a wailing on her.
I get the feeling that one small pussycat is going to have to learn to sheathe her claws, or they will get trimmed by a much larger one.
Yes, Tath is my gentle giant.
My knight in shining armour.
It has been that type of week, the weather has been up and down, running hot and cold (or it seemed that way because it dropped 2o degrees overnight, along with the North wind letting us know it was still around. The cats ran around me, acting as if I was dipped in catnip.
You can always tell when I have something Thena wants, she purrs loudly.
To be fair, they have both learned the word “no”, well. I will still have to go through the house, because it has been trashed… Tath might respect me personally, but like Thena, he needs to learn not to knock everything off the counters, tables, dressers… you get the idea.
I am getting very close to finishing off the reworking on ‘Kings of the Empire’. That means I should have it cased over the weekend, for lack of anything better to do.
That will leave me free to begin to cut down a few of the books on my TBR pile… excited or what.
Of course that won’t be all that I do.
.. I still haven’t finished off that inventory that I placed on hold.
I will spend an hour or so a day working on that, until it is done.
I can’t tell you how excited I am about that.
It is Mother’s Day weekend, and to all the mothers out there I hope you have a great weekend/day, whichever you celebrate.
The grass is getting green here, the leaves are showing signs that they want to come out, but Mother Nature is telling them to hang tough, she isn’t finished quite yet with the cold stuff. It doesn’t seem to matter much, as there is colour in the world, where it was only white before.
Strange how I don’t seem to appreciate winter in the same way I used to. There is something about -40 that doesn’t seem the same as it used to.
Of course, I don’t get into a snow suit and go outside to build snow forts anymore either.
Those were definitely the days.
At any rate, it is time to go, there is very little news, as most of it happened last weekend, with Sarah running rampant with the editing pen. To Capture an Ancient is turning up everywhere, Volume 2 of the EC short stories is coming together, and Becca is still playing catch up with all she did.
Some of the books still needs little more time to pass, before it can go into the system.
I will make a special posting here tomorrow, as a present to Mothers everywhere, just letting you know in advance that it is coming. In the meantime, have a great weekend, and I will see you next week.
Happy Mothers Day, to all the mothers of the world.
